Due to rosacea I need to wear hats whenever I go out and wanted to find a cap that was a little more attractive and feminine than the standard baseball cap. This hat is made of a very flimsy thin jersey. To support it, they have sewn in a stiff lining in the front of the hat which doesn't conform to my head and looks weird. I went at it with a thread cutter to see if the lining could be removed. Not possible -- the so-called "feminine quilting details" are composed of an extremely thin cardboardy layer which is sewn in the quilting pattern to which the stiff lining has been GLUED. I tried cutting this stiff lining with a very sharp pair of embroidery scissors and it was virtually impossible. Basically, if I removed all the stitches, the hat would fall apart because the lining is an integral part (i.e., sewn into the seams) of the hat. Too bad. Waste of money for me. If you have a pointier head, it might fit right.
