5.0 out of 5 stars awesome!
This is an awesome running shoe! It is being touted priamrily for its cushioning and secondarily for its stability with true sizing. I wanted a cushioning shoe because I run on pavement and because the impact of each step is 3x my body weight. Cushioning is preventative for further injuries. I broke my shoes in with a 5 mile run - no blisters, hot spots, etc! Also,...

2.0 out of 5 stars They've gone and changed perfection.
I remember slipping into my first pair of Kayano 13's and they were heaven. The 13's are the perfect width, have wonderful cushioning and my feet are never tired or achy after a run. I was thrilled about these new 14's and couldn't wait to buy a pair. Until I tried a pair on the other day. Asics has narrowed the toe box and heel, it doesn't feel as cushy and they're just...

Also, the big news is that my plantar fasciitis was not aggravated or exaserbated. Super cushiony. Slightly stiff at the get go, but that'll be gone after a few runs. HOWEVER, I did also buy a running insert/insole that I'm using instead of the insole that came with the shoes. It absorbs impact way better. I thought I was just getting old because my knees would ache after each run so I could no longer run every day anymore. Also, I was developing strange pains in strange places in my feet when I ran. Turns out, it was my old shoes. If you're looking for a cushioning comfortable ride, look no farther. The only downside is the price tag.

Asics has narrowed the toe box and heel, it doesn't feel as cushy and they're just not as nice. I think I had better stock up on my 13's before they're hard to come by. If you're a 13 fan, I recommend actually trying these 14's on before buying them online!

I've been training for my first half marathon and a friend recommended these to support my knees. I know it sounds corny, but my legs felt better after the first run with these shoes!

5.0 out of 5 stars Like walking on pillows in your bare feet, June 23, 2008
Worth every penny. I didn't know a pair of shoes be so perfect. I pronate moderately, and these are the perfect correction for that; not too much, not too little. And if the added bonus of the exceptional cushioning wasn't enough, this shoe is not heavy and clunky feeling like so many other brands are. Honestly these feel as if they were custom made for me. I will never buy any other running shoe.

3.0 out of 5 stars why did they change it, July 20, 2009
these are a lot stiffer than the old model, the seams on top of the toes bother me, and the heel is stiffer too. The old ones fit like a glove, this one after many tries to break it in is still stiff. I won't spend that kind of money again on these shoes...

4.0 out of 5 stars great heel support, January 11, 2009
The shoe is great for those of us who get that sharp pain in the heel while running/walking. Love the color and the width.

I really like these running shoes. Good cushioning and great stability.
I have the Lightining/Plum/Lilac color, which I think it's also very cute.
I ended up buying in another merchant because of the price.

My daughter lives in New Zealand and enters triathelons. She had heard such great things about these shoes and since it was her birthday I ordered them for her. She was thrilled when she received them and can't wait to try them out on the next race.
