I'm Marie Savard, M.D., ABC News Medical Contributor and the author of ASK DR. MARIE. I want to share with you my reasons for writing this book for you. I am fascinated by the many challenges that women face when making the best decisions about their health, hormone, or birth control options. I never hesitate to weigh in on the latest research and how it can be applied to women in the real world - far removed from these often faulty research studies. My earliest research in women's health helped women decide for themselves if they had vaginitis or cystitis and how best to treat these conditions safely, naturally and with as little medication if possible. I enjoy the ABC Good Morning segments with Dr. Marie and when I learned she had a new book out, I ordered it immediately and began reading this weekend. Just now, I sent our 20 and 25 year old daughters this book as a present, taking advantage of Amazon's gift wrapping! I included a note about how I am enjoying reading it myself and wish I had such a guide when I was their age; that the way Dr Marie presents the topics reminds me of some of the special `girl' talks we've had over the years as mother and daughter!

I also have placed a copy in my office on the round conference table for all to notice (even the MEN with wives or significant others) - I will recommend to each and every woman (man) that walks in my office! As I was writing my review I was interrupted by my manager and without my suggesting it she picked up the book and peaking at some pages, which I had marked, she looked up and remarked, with a smile, "I need to order this book!" The book surprisingly addresses all women of all ages...I was up until 1:00 a.m. reading because I couldn't put it down...I even learned a few new words (ken, etc.)

I smiled each time the author let the reader into her private life a bit! It's good to know a woman of Dr. Marie's intelligence and success is NO DIFFERNT than the rest of us on these issues. I truly think this book is the most reaching one I've read because generally books are about sex OR health but not one in the same, the way Dr. Marie addressed the topics!

She should be proud and happy as her book becomes A SMASHING SUCCESS as it will definitely further her mission to engage many women with the necessary tools to be their best health advocate, and their partners will enjoy parts of it, too!

With one single book, Dr. Marie has given women answers to questions we may never have asked our own doctors. This is the kind of book that could change your life. I would recommend this book to women of all ages.

"Ask Dr. Marie" is terrifically well-written and valuable to both men and women. Dr. Marie answers questions that most of us would like to ask but usually don't. The book's warm, accessible writing style and comprehensive coverage combine to create a powerful source of information a that's also a pleasure to read.

This book has been helpful with enabling me to better understand my anatomy and how things work. It will be a great guide to planning my dr. visits, and what things to ask as I take more control of my healthcare. Great job Dr. Marie.

I enjoy watching Dr. Marie on Good Morning America and learned to respect and consider Dr. Marie's opinion. I have also found the scientific facts she references about the subject matter to be consistently accurate. I admire her for her fearlessness in awakening people to the truth about empowerment and women's health issues. I've ordered a copy of Ask Dr. Marie for my daughter-in-law who recently became a mom for the first time. I loved how friendly and with humor she talks about what a new mom goes through. I also love that she shares her own personal experience with hemorrhoids and other annoying problems after the birth of her three sons. This book covers just about all stages a woman goes through. For me personally, the chapter on hormones, bioidentical hormones and menopause was really helpful.

Perfectly candid and medically informative health advice for all woman. Funny and a good read. You don't realized how often you have these questions and Dr. Marie is a wonderful adviser!

Dr. Marie's book is informative and well written. She explains the answers to any possible questions you might have very clearly. I enjoyed her last book as well, and once again she does not disappoint. This book is great read, I highly recommend it!

As a young, single woman in my 20's, I found this book incredibly helpful, honest, and accessible. It's so important for women to know our bodies and our risks, and Dr. Marie presents the facts in a way that is straighforward and clear. I will recommend this book to all of my friends--it's my go-to for all my sex-related questions!

While some of you may think that female problems only relate to women when they get older, think again! I'm 24 and have already recommended reading this book to all of my friends. It's not just a good reference book but a great read cover to cover. It really gave me a lot of education concerning all kinds of issues that relate to girls and women. I've had so many questions that this book gave me some insight on. It has good info regarding sex, STDs, when to go to the doctor, pros and cons of different birth controls (which is definitely a plus!), treating your own yeast infections, general explanation of how your body works, and most importantly to me was knowing when it's necessary to go to the doctor.

Overall a great and informative book. It's easy to read as Dr Marie keeps things simple yet direct, and even discusses her own life. I recommend it to girls and women of all ages!
