The Deck Is Stacked In Your Favor, October 12, 2006

I bought these cards on a whim because I'm not a big fan of "card decks". I know that a lot of people use these decks to meditate upon or get a glimpse of what their soul might be telling them, but I have always preferred to just sit as quietly as I could and see what bubbled up from within. If for some reason the "inner chatter" was too loud and I couldn't get still, I'd close my eyes and pick a book from my library and once I had the book in my hand, and with eyes still closed,I would open the book to any page and after I selected my page, I'd open my eyes and read the first thing my eyes fell upon. I noticed that I always read exactly what I needed to hear...maybe I always do...maybe most of the time I am just plain stubborn and I think I know more than my soul. As one of my mentor's might say, "Your arrogance is your ignorance and your ignorance is your arrogance...."
Ah, shuddup...
But I received some "unexpected income" the other day, always a nice surprise, and I treated myself to a big sushi lunch and after eating I waddled over to the bookstore and on "auto-pilot" went straight to the Metaphysical/Spirituality section. I swear, I think I've worn a trail in that particular bookstore's carpeting because I always gravitate to that section. I did want to get something from Esther Hicks, but I was thinking more in line with another book, but I need another book like I need...oh, what's that saying...I need another book like I need a hole in my head filled with spilt milk and crumbled cookies...is that it? I never get those plucky little sayings right...but I gravitated to these cards instead.
Now they were sealed...twice...so I couldn't just unwrap them and put my sushi smelling fingers all over them. What if I decided not to buy them and there was another person who had been looking forward all year to buying these cards, buys them, gets them home, opens the box and they are enjoying the cards and then they start smelling fish? I overthink things at times. So I just held the deck in my hand and usually I can tell if something is for me if I just hold the object in my hand, and just allow myself to feel the vibration of the object. Everything vibrates and it either vibrates high or it vibrates slow. If it vibrates high, it is probably good for me and if it vibrates slow, it might not be. This is how I knew that the woman who is now my wife was going to be my wife. I held her hand and the sweetest most endearing vibrations came off her hand. Ahhhhh...isn't that beautiful? But it's true...very true.
So I get these cards home and I start reading them...good stuff, Maynard...all deep and profound Truths packaged in bite sized morsels. So, after I go through a few of them, my best friend comes over. He's an atheist, by the way...he's also bald...I don't know if the two are related, but I just wanted to mention he was bald in a review so I can have him read about it later on. He sees the deck on the table and he says, "What are these, John? Do they put you in touch with your inner crazy person?"
I just sit there wondering how in the world I attracted this guy into my life. "Actually, Jim, they are wisdom cards. You think of a question you have and that you're not sure of the outcome and then you pick a card and it'll tell you how to deal with your situation..."
"Oh, yeah, right..."
"Try it..."
So he did and when he read his card his eyes opened really wide and I could tell his "reading" was accurate but instead of saying that there might actually be some validity in all this, he just says, "Hey, you wanna go bowling?"
The universe is always on our side. We cannot not win. Today is a very good day to affirm how blessed, how prospered, and how fulfilled we already are. I know that some of you may not feel this way, but if you leave this review feeling just a little bit better, just know that it was your soul that lead you to it.
Follow your soul, it always knows...

A great addition to those working with the LOA, September 29, 2006

I'm going to keep this review brief, but as these cards only had one other review I felt compelled to let everyone know about what a wonderful and beautiful set this is. The artwork is soft, warm, and inviting, and the messages are powerful reminders for staying on the path and believing in your outcome. I have many other decks that I have used as part of my daily meditations, but this has immediately become by far my favorite. I believe this deck would be of great benefit to anyone wishing to improve their frame of mind and lives, not just those following the Abraham-Hicks teachings. I am very grateful to have this deck and highly recommend it.
