Book Description

"Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened.” Matthew 7:7-8 ESV

Jesus made three specific promises about prayer:
1. Everyone Asking in prayer will receive.
2. Everyone Seeking something in prayer will find what they are looking for.
3. Everyone Knocking on spiritual doors in prayer will eventually see them opened.

With such an incredible guarantee, why are we not receiving everything we ask for? Either Matthew 7:7-8 is not true, or we need to learn the true meaning of Asking, Seeking and Knocking. It’s time to take hold of the promise and begin Asking, Seeking and Knocking our way toward guaranteed results!

This book is divided into three sections, which examine Asking, Seeking and Knocking, followed by a 7 day devotional.

5.0 out of 5 stars Enhance your answer to prayer February 18, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
We as Christians know the importance and necessity of prayer but sometimes find it difficult to discipline ourselves or understand the principles behind prayer that lead to breakthroughs. Author Benjamin Reynolds, who is also an ordained minister and Foreign Missions Secretary, has carefully compiled this book in order to help you enhance your prayer life while guiding you to things you should and should not do in regards to prayer. He has divided this book into 3 sections- asking, seeking, and knocking- in order to show us what our prayers should mainly consist of, discovering who God is and what He has purposed for our life, and understanding the obstacles that prevent us from receiving answers.

It is faith, he believes, that unlocks what we ask for as well as our obedience to fulfill our God-given purpose. The Holy Spirit, the Great Teacher, tells us what we need to do as we strive to build a consistent prayer life.

You will find this resource a genuine help as these principles will unlock the key to your prayers. At the end of this book is a 7 day devotional that has morning and evening sections with themes, lessons, and questions to help solidify the message. Along with this resource you will find other helpful books from this author to aid you in your Christian journey.

This book reminds me of the Secret, however, it is no Secret that the bible holds all of the lessons we need to learn in life. And this book again points us to how in the bible God wants us to depend on him and ask him for the help we need.

4.0 out of 5 stars An Inspiration to Pray March 18, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
Bejamin L. Reynolds has given us in this book the Biblical understanding of the key elements to prayer.
Often Christians believe they know what prayer is about but sadly it can be superficial and incorrect. This is a subject all believers need to understand.
Reynolds places before the reader the three constituents of prayer,Asking, Seeking and Knocking.
The narrative is not peppered with countless anecdotes and illustrations for he uses one central illustration that he returns to in order to explain different points.
The whole teaching of the book is undergirded with Biblical references, helpfully from the ESV.
At the end of the teaching section there is a very helpful seven day devotional guide for morning and evening so the reader may begin to put into practice what they have learned.
I would recommend this book to any Chrisian who is serious about prayer. It is a good resource for Pastors and Bible Teachers alike.

in general, liked this book - in places, i found it a little bit too "preachy" rather than offering the information/idea - i like books that offer thoughtful direction, and most of this book is good
