Product Description

Throughout the ages men have sought to understand the world, each other, and God. To find the answers we must ask the questions. But how do you know what to ask? How do you know who to ask? What better person to answer your greatest questions than God Himself? But is it okay to ask God? Will He really answer? These were some of the questions I had when I first got serious about examining who God is and what He has to say. This book started out as a personal bible study into James 1. As I dug deeper and asked harder and harder questions, God proved his faithfulness by answering every one. It is my sincere hope you will not only learn a thing or two from the answers I found, but also you'll grow confident that you too can ask hard questions and get to the Truth.

5.0 out of 5 stars Leave It to a Man Name Ponder to Ask So Many Questions, June 9, 2008
A quote from the Introduction of Ask James one: A Bible study for individuals or small groups:

"... in no case are my opinions intended to be taken as authoritative. Only scripture itself should be taken as the final authority and even then I strongly encourage the reader to always consider the context of all scripture references offered."

Mr. Ponder uses the first chapter of the book of James in the New Testament as a springboard from which readers are encouraged to ask questions they may never have thought to ask and to seek answers throughout all of Scripture. This Bible study has an easy to follow question and answer format that is not bogged down by theological jargon, yet the subject matter poses many challenges for readers who are willing to take a good honest look within themselves. The author does not claim to have all the answers to all the possible questions that can be asked, but he does offer a wonderful guide for how to seek them out. In the back of the book Mr. Ponder has even included a list containing the questions that are discussed throughout, along with the references he chose to use. This list is a wonderful tool for someone who may wish to study on his own before looking to see the answers offered in the book.

Whether you are an individual or a Bible study group, I highly recommend Ask James for the next time you want to study your Bible with a supplement that will encourage you, inspire you, challenge you, and give you the freedom to ask your own questions, seeking always to know the Lord more intimately.
