5.0 out of 5 stars Better than the best, May 20, 2009
I have been reading the works of Nicola Griffith for many years. As a writer she is extraordinary and unique. As a bloggist, Nicola is this and more. Her blogs run the gamut from writing to politics to history...science, food, love and life and the weather in Seattle. Oh, and wine and chocolate and bouncy houses and really cool knives! I try to start every day with Nicola's blog and I feel happier when I do. Warning, Ask Nicola is definitely habit-forming.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great blog about a lot of different stuff, May 18, 2009
I'm not a huge blog reader. I generally read them when following a link from a posting somewhere to a specific entry. But when I do find one I enjoy I tend to bookmark it and revisit it. Nicola's blog is one of those.

Blogs are one of those things I don't mind reading on the computer, as opposed to reading ebooks on the computer which I can't stand to do. Since I don't mind reading it on the computer I haven't subscribed to Nicola's blog (or any other blog or periodical) on my Kindle yet. But if I was going to subscribe to a blog it would be this one.

Nicola is a wonderful author and I've read all her books. But beyond that she's insightful and witty, with an irreverent streak that I enjoy. She is also a Kindle fan. All of which shows up in her blog posts. She blogs about pretty much everything from what to do when it finally gets sunny in Seattle, to movies, to books, to food, to politics and pretty much everything in between.

So if you enjoy those types of blogs or are looking for something new and want it conveniently delivered to your Kindle every day, check this one out.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nicola Griffith is from the Planet Krypton., May 19, 2009

Nicola Griffith's blog isn't a crass marketing platform, or an exercise in tedium. Have you ever been swimming in a pond or lake where they have a little pontoon island a bit out from shore? Ask Nicola is that diving platform; a place where she can interface with readers & they can go diving for pearls together. Rants, insights, critical reading, goofballing, &c are the order of the day. Nicola is a future person, a polymath, & a Level Boss on your favorite video game.
