About the Author

Who am I? What is my real purpose here? These questions sent me on a spiritual quest that included both Eastern and Western spiritual traditions and, many experiences later, placed in my hands the remarkable program of transformation, A Course in Miracles. Eventually, I was led to a spiritual academy focused primarily on the Course teachings, where I began to write down free-flowing memories of the spirited sessions that energized my awakening. This student notebook became Ask Not the Sparrow, which may startle, confront and challenge the mind that already thinks it knows something. Its sessions offer a way out of our human confusion and suffering. Earlier in my spiritual journey, I landed for a time in a place of utter peace and received a kind of inner dictation of simplified Miracles messages "for ordinary people." I highly recommend this book to spiritual seekers who would benefit from short snippets about a wide variety of subjects from many points of view. Each page has a gem of wisdom, all related to the spiritual teachings contained within A Course In Miracles. That's not to say that this is a short book, there are 387 pages...a veritable banquet for the spiritually starved.

As a relatively new student in the Course, I found this book very easy to relate to. Many of the observations are made by fellow students, and it is very comforting to know that a lot of my feelings during this spiritual journey are shared by others.

The author, Pamela Dresang Schueller, is also not afraid to answer the tough questions that we students have and her insights are provided in a clear, concise manner that are very well organized. She has clearly been around the spiritual block. The book comes out in paperback and is very reasonably priced. A very nice find for anyone who is spiritually inclined.

A book for the beginner on the path or for those who are already awake. Well thought out and well written. Could lead you to the miracle experiene or confirm those you have already experienced. A book for our time in this dream of pain, sickness and death.
