Sonia Choquette's "Ask You Guides" oracle deck follows in the same style as her "Trust Your Vibes" cards, vibrant colors, beautifully worded and helpful guidebook, sometimes with word choices made to "push" you into hearing what other decks omit or gloss over.

Each time I've had the pleasure of using my cards, I choose 5 after a good shuffle.

It never fails to amaze how the one card I think doesn't fit, absolutely fits once I read the message Sonia has provided in her guidebook!

Whether having a good day or one wrought with challenges, the cards help me to acknowledge what is true and real in my heart, so that I must address these things, and not avoid them.

These cards are spiritual, and show no denomination.

I am very pleased with the Ask Your Guides Oracle Cards. I purchased this item a couple of months ago, but I wanted to use the cards regularly before writing my review. The cards are very sturdy and beautifully illustrated. These lovely oracle cards are positive, inspirational, healing and accurate. And, the enclosed small guidebook is well written. It would make a great gift.

Sonia Choquette-renowned author, vibrational healer, and psychic-is out with a new 52-card deck called Ask Your Guides Oracle Cards. This deck is designed to help you connect directly with specific spirit guides and Divine helpers as you navigate through life's transitions and challenges. By seeking guidance for present and upcoming life events with the Ask Your Guides Oracle Cards a direct link is forged to your personal psychic support system.

A 71 page Guidebook accompanies the deck, and gives a brief overview of each of the 52 cards. In addition, four keywords are assigned to each card, which present concepts and energies that augment the card's meaning.

The back of the box says that the Ask Your Guides Oracle Cards are based on the Minor Arcana of the Tarot. However, nothing is mentioned about Tarot in the guidebook, nor is any correlation discussed. There are no suits-color coded or otherwise-and Minor Arcana parallels are not at all obvious. Why this supposed correlation is mentioned on the box is a mystery.

The colorful illustrations are quite beautiful, and each card is numbered making it easy to find its explanation in the guidebook. Other than the card explanations, though, there isn't much to the guidebook. The Introduction is little over 2 pages long and briefly describes a one card and three card spread. Various guides and helpers are assigned to the cards, but there is no differentiation between them. For instance, there's Divine Helpers, Divine Soul, Divine Teachers, Master Teacher, Spirit Teachers, Higher Soul, Higher Self, Muses, Divine Mother, Divine Goddess, Divine Healers, Healer Guides, Joy Guides, Warrior Guides, Prosperity Guides, Creativity Guides, Nature Spirits, Holy Spirit, Divine Father, Divine Mother, Gaia, Guardian Angels, Guardian Angel Michael, Inner Child, Venus, Aphrodite, and Spiritual Ancestors.

What's the difference between Higher Self, Higher Soul, and Divine soul? What's the difference between Divine Teachers, Master Teacher, Spirit Teachers and Divine Helpers? There appears to be no rhyme or reason to the differences which could prove confusing. If Choquette feels there are distinctions in the spirit realm, why not outline them? Is there really a division in the spirit realm called Prosperity Guides? Do they work at the Cosmic Bank and make withdrawals and deposits on our behalf? Are they financial planners or do they just deliver the goods? I'm being facetious but the delineation of all these spirit helpers seems silly at worst and perplexing at best.

When I originally tried out the deck, the card I drew held absolutely no meaning for me. I had my husband try it, and he got an equally "doesn't apply" message. (I don't recall this ever happening before with an oracle deck.) I was planning on writing a mostly negative review of the Ask Your Guides Oracle Cards but I thought I'd give it one more chance before I began writing. I pulled one card and got some incredible insight as to the root of an issue that had been bugging me. Then I drew another, and it gave me a message that confirmed specific guidance I received intuitively earlier in the day (no help from an oracle-just an insight).

Perhaps my husband and I were having an "off" day, who knows?

The Ask Your Guides Oracle Cards are certainly unique and attractive, and while I prefer Choquette's Trust Your Vibes Oracle Cards over this deck, I feel there are many out there who will resonate with these cards-especially those who identify with the nuance of spiritual hierarchy.

I love these cards. Rather than doing a traditional Tarot reading, these cards are great for a quick answer to any dilema. Another great thing about these cards is, unlike Tarot, they give you recommendations of how to better the situation with each card, even the dismal ones.

I agree that we should all follow our "gut" or intuition. However, when life throws a lot at us at one time, sometimes our waters get muddy and we don't see clearly. These cards are great for those times because it can help you gain clarity in times of confusion, bleakness, and unhappiness.

I can't count how many times I have been surprised that the cards that I drew were either right on target with what was going on in my life or predicted something that did end up happening.

These cards are a very valuable part of my life! I highly recommend them.

When used as described in the user's manual, the cards offer daily guidance on what to look for today. If used consistenly, you will see patterns forming that will indicate areas that need extra special attention. Always informative and some times humorours these cards will help you fine tune your sixth sense.

I ordered 3 decks by Sonia Choquette. They're ALL 3 really lovely, beautifully executed - and together with her books, I find them so encouraging that I have decided to go for a bit of self-study.
Down to earth, practical, easy to read, yet very insightful !! I hope Sonia writes more for me to harvest in the coming years!! Many thanks Sonia and Many thanks Amazon for having all her stuff there, easy to find, and to read. It's great when you can peep inside the books, it makes for MUCH better sales I would think. So I'm definitely FOR a lot more authors and publishers being willing to share a few pages, it helps make a choice easier.

I admit I am a bit unsure about the guidance thing (as far as spirit guides and such), but I tried to suspend my judgment because I do enjoy tarot and oracles. I was a bit uncomfortable with the idea of framing it as disembodied spirit guidance, but it is really very 'down to earth', helpful, loving, but not too sugary advice. It is quite specific and very helpful. I particularly enjoy the way it is written. Sonia writes with such assurance that you forget that it's written by a person and do feel that it's like a divine gift plopped right on your lap.

I like the summary of each message, as well "I.e. 'Your Higher Self's Mesage: Leave it to me for now" or "be quiet and wait" etc. I have seen a variety of tarot and oracle descriptions, and these descriptions are very surprising and seem to hit a major chord every time. Even the so-called "negative" cards are not jarring. They are still constructive and gentle.

This card deck has several cards which really spoke to me.
The Business card makes you feel like the universe is pouring abundance to you. The victory card signals success. The exhaustion card reflects you trying to hard, and the truth card feels like your soul is alive with the truth and so you are happy.

The deceit card was helpful as I had several people in my life lying to me about how they felt about me. An ex still had feelings. The competition card helped me to sort out friendly vs not so friendly rivalry between me and a friend. The psychic awareness card reiterated my psychic abilities being strong. Lastly, the self esteem card came up for me when I had to be ok being me and letting people know the real me. It gave me strength to put up with their criticism.
The artwork is soothing and supports the ideas written on the card.
I have to say this deck has definitely helped me quite a bit in my life.
I actually bought this deck when I wasn't "ready for it". I then gave it away and bought it again as I was ready for the messages and art. That is saying something.

Very useful spiritual tool if you want to become accustomed to listening to your intuition.
