I started reading this book to gain hope for our future after 3 recurrent miscarriages with no children. I am adopted and having my own biological children with my husband is my dream.

When I came to the Chapter "Its Not Your Fault" and the author said, "Is God Punishing Me.......this should NOT be ruled out" I was in absolute shock. Then he went on to say that there are several undeniable occurrences in the Bible in which a child was lost or a woman became infertile as punishment for sin". DO NOT BUY this book if you are looking for support with what you are going through. I believe there is no rhyme or reason why women have miscarriages, it happens to wonderful christian couples too. There are terrible people out there that have children of their own so the thought of good people being punished for their sin is preposterous. You do need to have faith that God is shaping our future in some way though.

There were no reviews on this book when I purchased it so hopefully this will help you. I stopped reading the book after what I addressed above so there might some good in the book later. I just did not want to read something by an author (Pastor) that believed that. I highly doubt he would have written that before he had his child.

Added note: I think it is unusual that all of the sudden after the author realized my comment that there are 4 (5) star reviews. There weren't any for several months and none when I purchased the book.

Tommy's book is a deep and powerful testimony of how he and his wife came to terms with some of life's most difficult questions around the loss of a child. Not only does he share his and other families stories but he also goes deep into what the Bible has to say about these difficult issues. I particularly liked how thorough he was in unfolding important Bible verses and principles to his readers. I can highly recommend this book to you whether or not you have experienced the loss of a child as the Biblical principles used can help in many areas of life. My deepest sympathy to all those who have lost a child, may you know God's love for you more than ever before as you grieve.

Tommy Mann is the excellent author of this Christian Non-fiction book about the tragedy of losing a child or children.

I think back to the day they told me I would never hold my Angela in my arms. She was to be my "Littlest Angel". I had already bought the book and was making plans of decorating her nursery in angel motif - lots of pink in frills - until... Now my Angela is an angel "Asleep in Heaven's Nursery". I wish there had been someone to dry my tears and help me understand.

Though Tommy knows all too well that there is no understanding, he attempts to dry some tears and answer Biblically some of the questions gnawing at each of us such as "Is it my fault?", "Is she really in Heaven?", "What will she look like?", and many more. He also shows that, though a man may not show as much emotion, he does care and he does hurt. He goes over some comments that help and some that made him want to "punch someone in the nose". And lastly, he has testimonies, including his own, of how God blessed even through this hurt and tragedy.

I would highly recommend you read this book whether you've been through the loss of a child or love someone who has.

Truly an exceptional book. Unique, and firmly rooted in scripture, this book provides answers to the questions that so many are hurting for answers for. Very well written, it provides answers from someone who has actually "been there" himself. An absolute "must read" for all, but especially for those experincing the pain of having lost a child and in search for comfort. The author's tender aproach to this sensitive subject is immediatly felt as he shares his personal story of loss and continues throughout, even including testimonials of others to show that you too can find the comfort and peace that you need.

I would highly recommend this book to anyone who has lost a child to miscarriage, still born or as an older child.
It would be great for anyone to read it who knows of someone who has lost a child so they would understand what that person is going through and how to deal with them. This book is also good for pastor's to keep in their library to lend out when needed.

It is short and to the point, therefore does not require any heavy reading.
