I really like this hummingbird feeder. I used to have one similar to the Outdoor Seasons 217 Window Mount Hummingbird Feeder but after breaking the plastic clips that secure the base to the nectar 'reservoir' (for lack of a better term,) on two of these feeders, I decided I needed a diferent type of feeder.

The red top hinges, so it's easy to get inside to clean and refill it. The window mount was extremely easy to put up and it hasn't fallen down since I put it up about almost two months ago. (This occasionally happened with my previous model. It would randomly detach, sending the feeder crashing to the ground, which is one reason I opted for a plastic feeder this time as well, rather than glass which could break if it fell.)

I also really like that the company has printed the "recipe" for hummingbird nectar on the bottom of the feeder, (4 parts water to 1 part white sugar,) because I tend to forget the ratio.

One drawback that I think was mentioned by another reviewer was that the feeding holes do not stand out. There are little raised flowers around each hole, but no color differentiation to help a bird locate the hole. I solved this easily with a non-toxic permanent gold marker. Each "flower" has a depressed ring around the hole as well as a depressed line down the center of each petal. I simply filled in these lines with the marker, and voila! It's now very easy for a bird to see where it should go for its' meal! (I've added a photo of my feeder after doing this so you can see what I mean.)

Haven't put it out yet, too early in the season.
However, it is a vast improvement in design, structure and quality over their old "Nectar Bar" window feeder (the old one was made of thinner plexiglass and a different design, so it sagged, especially in the heat, so at times the hummers couldn't even reach the nectar, it was so tilted.

This new version is a really nice unit.

Only improvement I'd make is to include the Bee Guards (included with their other hanging units). For some reason, an item worth about 25 cents, they want you to pay extra for, and pay for shipping, too.
What's the thinking there?

Birds love sitting on perch and drinking it up! Attaches easily and is very sturdy! Birds come to living room picture window and my little guys love to watch their wings buzz as they dip their long beaks down for a sip! Very cool product - easy to clean - easy to refil!

I bought this one to replace a Garden Jewels® 455-3 14-Ounce Glass Window Mounted Hummingbird Feeder which had fallen to the ground and broke, and wish that I had made the change long ago. This one has many things going for it, especially compared to the GJ model.


It seems that black mold naturally occurs in sugar water left in the sun, and a hummingbird feeder needs to be cleaned regularly. It has never been easier than with this model, which removes easily from the "stand", and is only a matter of lifting a lid in order to clean and refill. Cleaning the Garden Jewels' narrow-necked bottle and enclosed base was a pain, to say the least.

Best of all, there is no obstruction to viewing the birds, and the tank is even clear so that you can actually watch their tongues dipping into the liquid if you get close enough.

I bought this window feeder with the ant moat in the hope of seeing the hummingbirds close up. After two weeks, only one bird has been seen near it and it didn't stop to feed. They seem to prefer the Perky Pet 203CP feeder, where I see hummingbirds frequently. The ants, however, are enjoying the food. The ant moat does not seem to help at all. There are ants all inside and outside of the nectar container.

This birdfeeder is wonderful!!!!! I bought it for my father who is bedridden and cannot even sit up in bed but he can see it from where he lays. It attached easily to the window. The hummingbirds come to this feeder in droves! He can see them very clearly because it is not a feeder with a vertical format. The birds are not obscured by any part of the feeder. He has delighted in the sight of the birds and it has brought him much happiness. At first I thought it was rather pricey but it has turned out to be worth every penny I spent on it and more.

I've had this feeder for three years. Loved it the first year. It would fall from time to time the second year. And, this year, I went to put it up and the suctions won't stay stuck and the screws that hold the suction cups both got stripped. I am going to call the company and see if they will send a replacement part. It seems the suctions don't have stamina over time. If that problem was resolved it would be a great feeder. Great to repel bugs, easy to clean, looks nice, and great views of hummys.

Our family loved this humming bird feeder and I think the humming birds felt the same way. Out of four humming bird feeders in my yard this is definitely their favorite. I think it is because they can sit and eat unlike all the others in the yard. I never had any problem with it falling. Large movement in the house did make them fly away for a little while, but we just learned to stay somewhat still while watching them. It is right by our kitchen table and so while we are eating they are just fine. It is only when someone walks by that they fly away. The ant moat helps if you keep the water in it, but it dries up quickly, so you need to check to make sure there is plenty of water. There is not one humming bird location in my yard that the ants did not quickly find. I highly recommend this feeder.

After having success with the similar hanging humzinger feeder, I decided to get this one to attach to my breakfast nook window. Had a couple of hummingbirds at my window within an hour of putting it up. Easy to clean, & after a couple months of use, I've had no problem with the suction cups - it's never falling or come loose. I sometimes get ants around the house, & so can say the ant mote works, too - keep water in it, & you will not have ants getting to the feeder.

I've been through so many hummingbird feeders trying to find one that didn't slowly drip onto my patio, causing a stain, ants, etc.. This one is perfect. hummers feed through the top, and it's fixed to the window, so there's no chance of any dripping. the added bonus is having the birds at eye level as i comfortably sit inside to watch. the bracket holding the feeder sticks securely to the window (or in my case, a glass door), making it easy to lift off the feeder for refilling.
