1.0 out of 5 stars Over rated CD, July 16, 2001

This review is from: Aspects of Annie & Chorus Line (Audio CD)
I thought I was listening to a high school band as opposed to a frst class orchestra. The quality of sound reproduction was poor arrangement choppy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great orchestrations and a rather odd- but good- mix, April 20, 2001
This review is from: Aspects of Annie & Chorus Line (Audio CD)
The Aspects of Broadway series features orchestras playing famous Broadway showtunes. I purchased this one for Les Mis and A Chorus Line. I must admit I'm not an Annie fan, but I loved what they did with ALL the songs. Les Mis is always known to have orchestrations, but it's wonderful to hear how well they are done even when Lea Salonga isn't singing On My Own. It was hard to imagine how A Chorus Line would sound in orchestration because it's not really one of those classical musicals. But I was very impressed with how the arrangement sounded. It had as much intensity and passion as the show itself. I would really reccomend this to fans of A Chorus Line, Les Miserables or Annie, guaranteed to please!
