He's very strong, built like a tank.

I will recommend that you spray WD40 into the clip every once in a while so it doesn't stick or rust in the rain.

I have ordered two of these, one lasted approximately one year, and the other two months.

My dogs are about 60 lbs and I wouldn't say they are "very aggressive" but they are sometimes wanting to be free of restraints to run and play so they often break the thinner cables rated for pets up to 100 lbs. These cables have been great at keeping them contained, just watch for wear on the plastic coating because once it splits the cable inside will rust and compromise the strength of the cable.

I have a 60lbs male husky who loves to run and pull. This is the one cable that I found that he can't snap within 6 months and I've tried a lot

After only a few weeks of light use the bolt and washer that attach the swivel loop to the pulley loosened so much that it fell off. Luckily I was there and my dog comes when called. For now I have the downline clipped right to the skyline without a pulley. I'm going to buy a bolt with a locking nut to replace the original.

The cable is holding up, which is what I was hoping for as my dog has broken everything that I purchased locally. I do recommend using a coiled downline for safety, it greatly reduces the risk of the cable getting wrapped around body parts.

This product is solid and sturdy but my dog somehow managed to get herself off of it after about 20 minutes. I think it was a fluke, but fortunately I look out at her every 5 mins or so (she's only 7 mos old and can find mischief anywhere) and I saw that she was about 5 feet past where she can normally reach in the front yard. She looked startled too! I went out and she came right to me, so no harm done, but it made me glad I do a visual so often. I can only think I must have hooked it wrong...she had it secured for awhile all over the front yard...so who knows what happened. But as it's a normal type fastener, it has nothing to do with this particular cable and I am happy with my purchase.

UPDATE: so I've had this a little over a year now and the cable covering has worn off in numerous spots, the fastener is rusty and hard to open. Not that expensive but I do have to get another one. Also my dog came off of it numerous times and after the first time I was very careful to always attach it correctly to her collar and I'd say about once every 2 or 3 months she found her way off of the fastener. Fortunately I now have a fenced in backyard so I don't have to worry about this so much and also fortunately she's not a runner so no harm was done.

This is the correct caliber of cable I need to hold my 70 lb Lab Mix who pulls HARD. He's very strong, built like a tank. My previous tie out just like this one lasted a long time, but the vinyl cable covering tore in parts, so the cable has rusted in places and is probably due to break soon. I just wish these tie outs had brass hardware instead of this cheap stuff. I'll put WD 40 on the clasps to try to keep it from rusting so fast. Disappointing for the price, but I guess it will do.

got this delivered on friday and installed on saturday. installed between two 10' posts at 6'6" high so we could still mow, etc... under it. our 6 month old german shepherd at 62 lbs. spent a total of 7 to 8 hours on it before the screw that attaches the pulley to the pivot hardware fell out (sunday). i fixed that (sunday as well) with some extra hardware i had here and added a jam nut so it would still pivot but not fall apart again. it is now the tuesday and the lightweight pulley is starting to stick in places so when the dog runs it will catch and then let go in random areas. bottom line is that while the cable may put up with the abuse of a 250 lb. dog, the hardware is no match for a 62 lb. puppy. you may want to look at some local farm supply stores for a heavier duty solution.

Looks far superior to my local pet store cable. Much thicker and much more flexible than the previous cable. In addition it was $10 cheaper and 10 feet longer.
