5.0 out of 5 stars best hiking book for aspen/snowmass, February 23, 2011
This review is from: Aspen/Snowmass Trails: Hiking Trail Guide (Paperback)
i had bought several books from amazon for hiking in aspen before i got there. i did not find any of them useful . when i got to aspen everyone was using this bookn/snowmass trails. i bought this book from aspen sports . we have hiked in aspen for three consecutive visits lasting more than 2-3 weeks each time. this book is what i use everytime and is the only hiking trail book you need. we are going back this summer again and i plan to only take this book with me.

4.0 out of 5 stars A good overview of Aspen's hiking opportunities, June 16, 2005

I like the concise format of the book and trail descriptions. The book is small and easily fits into a day back or jacket pocket. I would prefer simple trail maps to the altitude graph for each trail and a simple map showing driving directions would be a useful reference when trying to find the trailhead. The full trail map of the area in the back cover of the book is much appreciated.
