One of my MOST-PLAYED Wakeman albums, May 30, 2000

When I started buying Wakeman on CD, I couldn't BELIEVE how prolific he'd become in the late 80's-early 90's. Case in point: THE SUN TRILOGY, a trio of albums (available separately or as a set) which consist entirely of quiet instrumental synthesizer music, designed to help you relax, relieve stress, or even sleep. Yes, music to SLEEP by! Suffice to say, my neighborhood has been known to be noisy, and for some time I actually used this and its companion CDs for that very purpose! I admit, no particular "songs" really stand out-- but for what it is, this is a WONDERFUL piece of work! (To complete the set, also check out ASPIRANT SUNSET and ASPIRANT SUNSHADOWS-- and for even more in a similar vein, VISIONS.)
