This review is from: Aspiration Cytology: A Pattern Recognition Approach, 1e (Hardcover)
I think the cookbook-type approach used here is very useful in daily practice when combined with more traditional texts. I recommend buying this text and reading through (at least parts) of it to get the idea. It is somewhat analogous to Ackerman's approach to inflammatory disorders.

Not a textbook,

This is not a textbook in cytology. This is something else. A pattern recognition approach is a smart way to find the diagnosis. The book can serve as a partial substitute for experience, but you need some basic skills in cytology to use it.
