I have this battery for awhile and really like it. For normal day to day use, it can last anywhere from 7 to 10 hours. If I do those extreme steps that KJ suggested in the first review comment, I am able to get it to 11 hours and 45 minutes, which is not too far from the quoted 12 hours. I don't know about you. But I can't really work on my Aspire One for 12 hours straight.

The most I like about this battery is that it can last me for the whole day and I don't need to worry about shut down my laptop while I am on the go. I just close the lip and let it go to sleep by itself. So when I need to use it, I just open the lip and the laptop is ready to go. This is much faster then the normal window boot up time. I use my Aspire One during the day and charge it at night. With this battery, I rarely find myself run out of power anymore. If you really want the long battery life for your laptop, this is the battery for you.

I've had this battery for a few weeks now. Under nomal use (web surfing, etc) the battery lasts about 7.5 hours. If I turn off the wireless, it will last for about 10.5 hours. This thing is great, I can take my netbook to work and use it for a entire day and not worry about running out of juice. I recently took a 15hour flight to Iraq, and the battery lasted long enough to watch 4 or 5 movies (ripped to harddrive) and even check my facebook while layed over in Ireland and Germany. I'm sure I was halfway through another movie in Kuwait before I had to plug it in. Yes, it adds some bulk and weight to the netbook, but the convenience of it far outweights the inconvenience (display turned all the way down, wireless turned off). I recommend this battery to anyone that owns a Aspire One netbook (8.9in screen).

One of any notebook users complaint is short battery life. The 9 cell battery for the Acer Netbook is a definite must. It can last up to 12 hrs, but only if you aren't actively doing too much, I have found that 9 hrs powered up is the average, which spans an entire work day.

It also stops you from opening your netbook to a completely flat position, preventing damage.

Only at Amazon can you get something less than at the main company. It works great.

I have to admit that I was not pleased with purchasing this product. In fact, I never got what I paid for, but rather two 6-cell Acer battery in lieu of the 9-cell advertised. Something went wrong here. Either the supplier made a false advertisement or it failed to satisfy the consumer. Still waiting for a reply to my last email.

Actually, this nine cell extended life battery works exactly as I expected it to. Never believe the sellers hype.

Perhaps, under what would not be considered as truly practical use for a netbook, the battery might, (I am only assuming since it has not happened to me), last up to twelve hours. It does however last up to around nine hours with normal use, though knock off about an hour or two more if you use an external DVD R/W to watch a movie.

If you wish to use it for work, from what I have experienced, it will last eight or nine hours with out too much of a problem.

The only difficulty I have experienced so far is that the rubber foot pads come off with normal use, but a drop of supper glue on each solves that problem.

As to how long this battery actually last, it will depend upon how it preforms in the future. If this nine cell extended life battery continues to preform as it has been doing so far, then it will have been well worth the price.

One thing you must keep in consideration though, it is MADE IN CHINA, and so far, from what I have seen, they are unfortunately very poor craftsmen when compared to most other countries.

I bought this battery to replace the original battery, which lasted less than an hour after chargeing. This battery so far, after fully charging, will last 6-9 hours. I does protrude off the bottom of the computer, but it only raises the back up slightly and the computer still fits the slip cover it was in before.

I have had this battery for my netbook for a few months already and I am very happy with it. I haven't been able to make it last 12 hours, as advertised, but I can get good 9 hours or so from it, which is MUCH longer than I could get from my previous battery. In short, I am quite happy with it.

My "6 hr" acer battery genuinely appears to have 6 hr.s! This one, rated at 9 hr.s seems to be just as good. I've only tested it twice, but I'll be *thrilled* if it does as well as the standard one. Go Acer!! :)

Put this battery in and I now get 6-7 hours of usage from my Aspire One. It is larger than the other battery, and it takes up more room in the small sleeve I travel with, but it still fits, and zips. I would recommend this to anyone that needs the extra power.
