a Journey though Senegalise pop music,

I love Senegalise pop music and this is some of the best I have heard. A beautiful blend of old and new, with fantastic kora playing and vocals punctuated with uber-snycopated Mbalax sabar riffs. Underneath this layer of sound is super-funky solid drum kit and electric bass on some tracks; others have a more pared-down orchestration or offer some surprises like accordion, viola, or Hammond organ. Recording quality and production are top-notch. The end result is delightful and cohesive journey through Senegalise pop music.
