This is a great investigative look at the entire conspiracy to assassinate President Lincoln and others, and the supporting evidence! The evidence is clearly laid out for you to make your own judgement, as to how far this conspiracy reached. It leaves no question, in my mind, as to the guilt of Mary E. Surratt, John H. Surratt, Dr. Samual Mudd, and others. What makes this book so great, is that it was published in the late 1890s, and written by a man who had served on the Commission that tried some of the conspirators. Any Lincoln assassination aficionado, will love this book! Written in the vernacular of the period, the book is a little hard to follow, but this also gives you a sense of being there during those times!
