Arrived in good condition packed in oil to preserve the sliding mechanism. It is entirely made of metal. It looked silver in the picture so I was surprised that it was painted white with black detail. But apparently it is white in the game. The knife that extends from the very end is silver metal. It is shaped like a knife but fortunately is not sharp enough to cut. I did not choose the extra "sharpening" service offered by some vendors since this was meant to be used as a toy by a mid-teen. Wiped off the oil and it worked pretty well buckled into the vambraces (purchased separately). BUT from the beginning the knife catches and does not extend easily, and it does not consistently whip out with a flip of the arm, as hoped and expected. More oil might help, but that would make for a very messy and unpleasant toy.

I was not happy with this item at all. As a big collector of prop items this is a very bad prop.
The photo is wrong, When you get the item it is white with black paint smeared over it to make it look old. It is not like that in the game. The image they show here is what it should look like. Then it is in a baggy covered in oil which is a pain. as for the function of the item it didn't work at all when tried it. so i had to take it apart and fix the thing. This prop is not at all worth the money and should be about a $40.00 prop. Save your self the money and just make one, Lots of tutorials on youtube.

I love this thing! If you flick your wrist, the blade shoots out just like in the game. My only beef with it is that it's a different color than shown in the picture. Nevertheless, i highly recommend this, especially if you like the Assassin's Creed video games.

I couldn't help but give in to this iconic item from my favorite Game series. I was excited when it finally came, I rigged up velcro straps to put it on and see if it really works. It functioned for about a minute before the blade stopped retracting. I took it apart and apart from having zero craftsmanship quality, I couldn't solve the problem. I spent $129.00 plus shipping and handeling on something that I wouldn't pay 15 for. I could probably make a better one for less than this!
"Made in India", it should have stayed there.

this blade came all covered in oil and when i tried to flick it out or release the blade it didn't even budge so i pressed the button flicked my wrist and still nothing happend. Can someone help me?

i have to say, this is awesome. yeah, when i got it, i had to clean the oil off, but unlike what everyone says, its not soaked in it, so it was an easy job. when i attached it to the vambraces and put it on, it shot right out of the housing at the flick of the wrist. the only thing that could make it better would be to have a spring inside to let it back in without having to push it in yourself. all in all, well worth the money

the picture is a little misleading. the knife looks like it has a silver finish to it but it is really black and white paint. I just need to wait to get the vambraces to test and see how it is with those. If you are big fan of the games I recommend this item. If you are not look into getting something else.

i enjoyed this item. even though it doesnt look like the picture, and at the begining it doesnt work, all i did was take it apart, some modifications with springs and a trigger, a wash up to get rid of the oil, and now, i am packin a hidden blade of awesomeness! write if you need any help on it.

I havent gotten one and as much as I would love to get it I have concerns about pricing and quality. All the reveiws either say it worked great or it jams and needs effort to put it back in when it slides out. Thats a tough 50/50 chance. If I were to get one for any reason it would be to examine and reverse engineer it to make my own and see if I cant get it to work. But I dont have the money to both buy the blade and then the things needed to make one. Could anyone tell me if I can either get some print out that will tell me how to make it or give me a reasonable offer?
