Editorial Reviews

Review

“Katie Pavlich stands up for women everywhere by exposing the blatant hypocrisy of the Democratic Party and its phony ‘war on women’ mantra against Republicans. This is a thorough and gutsy book that should help set history straight.” (--Mark R. Levin, #1 New York Times bestselling author of The Liberty Amendments)

“BOLD, BEAUTIFUL, AND BRILLIANT: Katie Pavlich is a role model for every young woman in America who truly believes in female empowerment. Her new book is a tour de force that deconstructs left-wing feminist myths and exposes the worst misogynists from Hollywood and the Democrat Party. Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be brainwashed government dependents. Buy this book!” (--Michelle Malkin, #1 New York Times bestselling author of Culture of Corruption)

“In Assault and Flattery, bestselling author Katie Pavlich shows once again why she's one of the country's top conservative reporters. This fun and engaging book will definitely turn any number of myths about Democrats and their so-called support of women on their head. This is a book to give to anyone in need of being immunized from the false narrative endlessly perpetuated by the mainstream media.” (--Sean Hannity, #1 New York Times bestselling author of Conservative Victory)

“Modern American women: smart, strong, accomplished, beautiful. And Target #1 for the Left in its ‘divide and conquer’ strategy to grab their votes and lock them into its cult of victimhood and dependency. Katie Pavlich blows the lid off the lies the Left tells women, from abortion to guns---and shows them that REAL liberation is thinking--and doing--for themselves.  That is TRUE Girl Power.” (--Monica Crowley, New York Times bestselling author of What the (Bleep) Just Happened?)

I admit I picked up this book with a certain level of trepidation. I had no doubt about Ms Pavlich's writing skills, and I assumed I would agree with at least most of what she said; it had to do with pricing. Simply put, I was uncertain about the wisdom of dropping 14 smackers on a download of ones and zeros listed at under 300 printed pages. Sorry, but the pricing on e-books is grossly bloated in many cases, and from the looks of it this book had the capability to make me feel cheated.

I'm glad I did make the purchase, however. This is a very important read.

Filled with facts, backed up by extensive research, Assault and Flattery lays out a clear, decisive, and irrefutable case against the 'progressive' claims that the 'Right' is the wing waging a 'war on women.' I feared going into it this tome would be a rehash of Breitbart, Twitchy, and Townhall posts, stuff with which I was already familiar. Those fears were unwarranted, however; the author shined a light into places which I had not been exposed, and her crisp presentation kept the myriad of facts tight and congruent. As you go along every tidbit leads to bigger bites, which allows you to enjoy the entire book without feeling lost or overwhelmed.

I have a couple of complaints - and they are very minor, not even worth deducting a star over. First, the sheer volume of space spent on the Kennedy clan felt a little exhausting; while I agree discussing them was important to understanding how the 'progressive' movement has carried forth the true 'war on women,' it just seemed a little over-written.

I think it is funny that EVERY book gets advanced copies out for review and the liberal machine is soooo scared that they troll these pages to pull down review star ratings. I've never written a review that wasn't actually a review before but because the liberals are ALREADY trolling this page I thought I'd add my 2 cents. Katie Pavlich is an amazing woman and you libs are trying to keep her down. Funny you claim " lies" and do exactly what she is talking about. Typical. Way to go Katie, can't wait to read it !

I don't think people should start reviewing the book when it was only released today. Katie has written very informed and researched books in the past, and I don't see why this one would be different. I'm a 20 year old conservative, pro-life woman who cannot wait to read her book, since I know that she knows what she is talking about. Buy the book and give it a chance!

Impressive followup to her first bestselling book. Katie Pavlich is a strong writer and political reporter and it's great to see her continuously fight for her views.

First a disclaimer: I'm an independent, but very much appreciate books that
attempt to tell the truth, even if (and especially if) politically incorrect.

With so much banter about a Republican "war on women", I think Ms. Pavlich sets the
record straight. Starting with the historical perspective that Republicans were more
in favor of universal suffrage than democrats, the excused mistreatment of women
by the Kennedys and other liberals, she touches on many other aspects of the
question in more modern times.

She takes on NOW (National Organization of Women), pointing out that their idea
of promoting rights of women is overturning capitalism, which would explain in
part why they have no interest in speaking about about abuse of conservative
women like Sara Palin (yes I know many dislike her intensely) and more
importantly, those in Tea Party type groups being abused by the IRS, which
as she points out, many of which were women (many who up to that time
were not politically active). Whether you like the politics they espouse or
not, it should be found quite disturbing that many want to excuse abuse of
power by the government if it agrees with their politics

I found her perspective on the pursuit of unfettered abortion rights quite
interesting. Never minding the moral argument about whether abortion
is, or at what point is, baby killing vs a woman's right to choose -- she
says that organizations like Planned Parenthood actively seek to
encourage abortion as if it is no big deal.

Heard her speak a few hours ago on the Hugh Hewitt show. She is like my two daughters and four year-old granddaughter. They will not put up with manipulating insecure men.

Hugh said she created the perfect title. An insecure male will flatter and lie then stick the hook in. She is saying don't connect to any man or organization that conceals their intensions.

The only women that give me discomfort is the rare self-centered woman. They lie and manipulate like a man. It is encouraging to see so many women now recognizing self-centered politicians.

Rarely do I watch TV so I didn't remember her from fast & furious. However I'm delighted to be so lucky to listen to her. Katie comes to us just as we lost Margret Thatcher.

A book that goes well with Assault and flattery is Blood Feud: The Clintons vs. the Obamas by Ed Klein. I have a Five star review that lists four important categories to consider. *******

Another tremendous book from another tremendous young lady, Katie Kieffer Let Me Be Clear: Barack Obama's War on Millennials, and One Woman's Case for Hope *******
