This review is from: Cut and Assemble a Totem Pole in Full Color (Accessory)
If you are looking for a book on the art of designing and cutting real totem poles - this is NOT the book for you. It is a book containing pre-printed designs to be cut out and then assembled into a long thin totem pole. Too advanced for children and not good enough for adults this printing gets one star only. Within the cover are eight pages of designs to be cut out. The pole itself is made up of six individual designs. Unfortunately color continuity is not good so the pole has three different shades of brown over its length. This is not intentional. The worst feature however, is that, though the pole is meant to be glued onto itself in order to end up with a length of almost four feet, the units are not the same size and therefore do not fit each other! There are also support and strength discs that are intended to be glued within the majority of tubes. These are printed larger than the inside of the tubes where they are meant to fit. All in all, an inexpensive nightmare!
