This book is not just for nurses. If you want to learn some practical first aid-related material, the book is an easy tutor. It explains how to diagnose common symptoms, in language that has minimal medical terminology.

Plus, most of the diagnosis can be done without medical instruments. Or perhaps, in some instances, only a stethescope.

I'm in my first semester of nursing school and clinical can get overwhelming since there is so much to know. This book is a great resource to have when you're unsure of something. It fits almost anywhere (perfectly in the lab coat pocket), it's well laid out with great photos and detail, and it included some information that I wasn't able to find anywhere else such as a comparison chart of base temperature at different sites. I highly recommend it for nursing students or nurses that need a refresher every now and then.

My clinical instructor used this book and I had to get my own! I loved how the book is easy to read and understand.

I find this little book to be very helpful in putting a lot of nursing assessment information in a concise format.
