I am a licensed clinical psychologist. I have MANY child assessment and therapy reference books. This resource is by far the most useful. The authors combine impressive knowledge of pertinent research with extensive hands on practical experience. The resource is also very practical as it includes reproducible assessment instruments.

Gordon and Schroeder have written THE comprehensive guide for child clinicians who are learning how to assess and intervene with a variety of challenges with children and families. I am a trainer of child clinical psychologists and use this book in my classes. The book is very user friendly as a reference/training manual. It is a must have for anyone entering the field.
