This review is from: Asset Accumulation and Economic Activity: Reflections on Contemporary Macroeconomic Theory (Paperback)
This book is a must have for all you people who study economics or are interested in matters alike. The degree of analysis that professor Tobin reached in this book makes it a fundamental part of the story of economic theory

Somehow, most economists, even when they are writing for a general, educated public audience, compose their message in an almost deadly dull and unreadable style. Tobin is no exception. Only a Mother or an academic economist could stand to read this text. It's not inaccurate, it's just boring. And I'm an economist by education/employment.Paul Krugman is an exception. He relates common sense economic insights in an interesting, real-world framework. He purposefully communicates the logic and function of economic theory to the general public within the context of assumed humanitarian purposes of "full employment," financial safeguards and shared prosperity. His writing style leans toward social scientist/historic novelist.
