This is a really great album that marries a great Brazilian feel with Pop music and an urban vibe. Her voice is beautiful and it's the kind of CD you just play the entire way through and love every song.

It's mostly contemporary Brazilian pop songs, done extremely well. The melodies are catchy and instantly hummable. This is not remixed music with thumping bass 'four on the floor' for dancing, though most of it does use drum machines (tastefully). Most of it is mid-tempo. All lyrics included (in Portuguese).Most of the tracks do not have a distinctly Brazilian musical flavor. The two that do are my favorite cuts. On #3 she is backed by samba percussion and sings an 'old-style' Brazilian MPB-type of song. On the last song, it's just her wonderful voice singing a sweet melody a cappella against a faux rainstorm (with birds). Beautifully simple and captivating, especially after 10 pop songs.

Super-slick, ornately produced soft soul that follows the template set by other Brazilian pop-soul artists. Not my cup of tea, but fans of Marisa Monte and Bebel Gilberto will probably want to check this out.
