5.0 out of 5 stars Best Fox Trot Collection, in My Opinion
I love FoxTrot comics. Next to Calvin and Hobbes, FoxTrot is my next favorite comic strips. I have yet to read a strip that did not get some type of laughter out of me. And this collection has to be one of the best ones I have read as of now. "Assorted FoxTrot" is a collection that includes cartoons from "I'm Flying, Jack....I Mean, Roger" and "Think iFruity."

1.0 out of 5 stars Makes me feel dirty
Foxtrot used to be something of a guilty pleasure for me. At this point, however, I find it necessary to cut the 'pleasure' bit. This comic strip has always worked on unimaginative stereotypes repeated over and over and over, but it was amusing for a time. But, much like Scott Adams, Mr. Amend has clearly reached the limit where he can no longer say the same things...

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Fox Trot Collection, in My Opinion, June 10, 2002

I love FoxTrot comics. Next to Calvin and Hobbes, FoxTrot is my next favorite comic strips. I have yet to read a strip that did not get some type of laughter out of me. And this collection has to be one of the best ones I have read as of now. "Assorted FoxTrot" is a collection that includes cartoons from "I'm Flying, Jack....I Mean, Roger" and "Think iFruity."

I loved every page, and if you are a FoxTrot fan, this is a must-have. Here are some of the wacky strips you will encounter in the book:

*Andy sees "Titanic"
*Jason's girl problem
*Roger's new Mobycom-2000 phone
*Jason's Christmas Carol
*Peter works at theatre when "Star Wars: Episode 1" is playing
*Roger quits his job
*iFruiti
and many, MANY more.

This is a wonderful collection, and is my favorite so far. I love FoxTrot and I will continue to read them as long as they are out. If you love FoxTrot, then check this out as soon as you can. You will not regret it.

I have pretty much all of the Foxtrot collections, and I am pretty much a big fan. This is another good collection which has good color, organization, and accurately represents the Foxtrot strip. However, this book does not offer anything extra. In one book, there was a full length "Slugman" comic book, and it would be nice to have something like that. You'd probably want to read this if you are a huge fan and missed a lot or if you just want to have a book that you can read and laugh with. Nothing serious, just fun.

Again, another enjoyable read from Bill Amend. Great to sit down with on a rainy day (and it's hurricane season here in FL, so we've had some good rainy days of late)for some good, long laughs. You can't go wrong with ANY Bill Amend, and this collection is no exception.

5.0 out of 5 stars Foxtrot....not your average simple strip...., July 27, 2001
By
This review is from: Assorted Foxtrot (Paperback)
Foxtrot, Bill Amend's comic strip about a suburban family of 5, isn't your average Calvin and Hobbes or Garfield. In this strip, Amend uses computer terminology to set his jokes that others may not get. (For example, he uses a lot of hardware terms, and when using the iMac as "iFruit", the computer says.."Welcome to iFruity, hug me." And the mother hugs it and the son says "iThink iWill bSick") Overall, this collection gives you the newest strips and lot of suburban semi-dysfunctional family fun. I would recommend any of the foxtrot collections!!

5.0 out of 5 stars FoxTrot is wonderful!!!, October 3, 2004
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Assorted Foxtrot (Paperback)
I just love this comic about a out-of-control family whose couldn't really get anything perfect. For example, like their youngest son, Jason, whom would annoy his 14 years old sister, Paige, with his iguana, Quincy. Jason is the family's geek, he plays D&D (I love playing D&D) and often fighting with the sarcastic computer that sometimes insults Jason. Peter, the oldest son, he is a huge horomone, he has a girlfriend whom they would make out with their parents unsupecting. Paige is a girl who "have too much problems and no cute boy" that make her behave really, really weird. Andy, the mother and husband of Roger, is one of the world's strangest mother. Andy ALWAYS freaks out if the family was in chaos and that happens ALL THE TIME. Roger is a golf nerd and possibly one of the world's lamest and stupidest dad. Roger always get confused and getting beaten by his former classmate, Thomason. The family brings me a lot of laughs and enjoying the knee-slapping humors.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hilarious, as always, August 25, 2002

Bill Amend writes great comics and this book combines a lot of them. This book is funny inside and out (the cover, especially the back cover, made me laugh). Some really good strips in "Assorted Foxtrot" are:
Bitty Babies
Titanic
iFruity
Those were my favorites, but the entire book is hiliarious. I highly recommend buying it. Give lil' ol' Foxtrot a chance and you'll be hooked!

Foxtrot over the years has been a engrossing and hilarious in their stand alone strips and ongoing story arcs.

Assorted Foxtrot is no exeption and a must buy for non fans and fans alike.
