Good to have a warrantee for anything you purchase, just in case if it comes with a 2 year warrantee you can buy on the side so it can be fixed or replaced.

One cannot make a proper "Brand" selection for many items even though such a selection is required before the Registration process can proceed. I tried every conceivable combination of drop-down selections (ie: electronics - other - other - brand) and still could not find TP-Link or Roku. I then merely created a user profile and tried to log in using my personal credentials and could not and I also did not receive any confirmation email. I easily wasted at least two hours and called their inept customer service the following day. I was then instructed to use "electronics - other - other - brand". I informed the rep that I would seek refunds and preserve my sanity. The website has likely been coded by former government IT & database employees.

Went to this website, tried to create a profile, it says "profile with this email has already been created". Odd, I haven't done that. Tried to change password, it says password successfully changed. Even more odd as I don't remember putting in a security question (btw, the security questions are terrible and stupid).

Tried to login with "new" password, get an "unable to login" error.

This website is awful. Don't buy this crap.

Before I begin I need to clarify something to those that do decided to buy this plan. it does cover whatever eletrcnic device you purchase from Amazon or whoever it is from this site. What they don't tell you is the stuff that happens during its two year. After buying it as it was of a good price and I wanted some extra coverage with my new blu-ray player. The thing didn't work and after extesvine tries through the manufactuer with little to no help I decided to call this lot and see what could be done through them. I spoke with a very polite person who was more then happy to help me. After I explained to her the situation and she checked to make sure I had the correct itme in question she then informed me that I had to go through the manufacutuer as the ONE YEAR warranty on the device was still active. I then asked her why a two year plan was offered if full well the maunfactureer was going to cover for a year? She had no answer for me. Needless to say I was unhappy with this and the hoops I jumped through were getting me pissed off. So I hung up went to the returns section on Amazon and returned both device and service plan. I recommend to any out there to avoid buying such plans on the interent as they are more trouble then they are worth. And while it may only have been six dollars and some change its the princpal of the thing that matter here. Don't cover something for a certain period of time if your not going to honor it.

It isn't a 2 year protection, it only cover the second year and you have to deal with the manufactor for the first year. They will only trouble shoot over the phone, if they have any info. on unit, which they didn't, and power surge protection, which you have to prove, for the first year. Well, power surge is the least of the problems when you can't get a picture on the unit. So, you are basiclly paying for a 2 yr. plan that only works for 1 year of coverage.

I've had experiences with Assurant protection plans in the past, mainly in the form of insurance for my smart phones. On those few times I've ever had to actually use an Assurant plan, I was satisfied with the results. Assurant responded quickly, didn't try to dispute the circumstances surrounding my loss, repaired my devices in minimal time, and only charged me the required deductible.

I usually don't purchase protection plans for electronic devices, but reluctantly decided last summer to buy the Assurant 360 Home Theater Protection plan my Roku 3 video streaming device. I'm glad I did! A recent power outage resulted in a momentary spike that completely wiped out my 5.1 home theater system. My Roku 3 survived the surge, but it's nice to know it was protected against loss if it had not.

I hope I never have to use this Assurant 360 Home Theater Protection plan. However, I think it was a good investment for the few dollars I spent on it. Definitely worth considering.

having just bought a roku 3 and knowing the idea of new electronics, we decided to get a 2 year home product warranty for the roku3. the roku should work well for a long time, and this warranty guarantees it for two years. by then, we will have gotten much use from the roku. if it fails in the mean time, a new replacement is in the warranty. we hope we never have to use the warranty, but we have gotten good use out of other "back up" warranties for our other electronic items in the past. since the roku was a new electronic item for us, this warranty made sense. for others that just hate warranties and think it is a bad deal, we will be smiling, knowing that if something goes wrong in two years, we are covered. yrmv...a good product, very fast delivery and information.

Even though I am keeping this product after assessing the pros & cons of it, I had gotten it by mistake since I thought I was purchasing a tech support protection plan. I eventually realized that it was not since it is just plain insurance, no wonder it was from Assurant which is an insurance company. Eventually during the installation process thru Roku staff, I did purchase their tech support plan.
