Multitask in your home office with the 20-inch Astar LTV-2001 LCD flat panel TV, which can also double as a PC monitor. The LTV-2001 features sleekly modern lines and a table stand, and it also includes wall-mounting hardware. It offers vibrantly colorful imagery from both the built-in, 181-channel NTSC TV tuner and computer sources, and great sound from two side-mounted speakers that provide 5 watts per channel (10 watts total power).
This set has a 4:3 aspect ratio for standard television programming, an 800 by 600-pixel resolution, 160-degreee viewing angle, fast 16 ms (millisecond) video response rate, 450 cd/m2 (candela per square meter) brightness rating, and 500:1 contrast ratio. (The higher the contrast ratio, the greater a TV's ability to display subtle color details and not get washed out by ambient room light.) Other features include support for 480p enhanced definition television (EDTV), a sleep timer, multiple-language on-screen display, V-Chip parental controls, closed captioning, MTS/SAP stereo output, and auto power shutdown. I got this TV a few months back, when it was priced lower. Would still buy it at the current price.
The TV itself is a great value, ALL METAL construction, everything is cast aluminum and glass. Just the back panel is plastic! Picture is great, though only 420p, and perfect for a bedroom. Only complaint is that my Tivo remote does not work on it, so there are two remotes in my bedroom. So that said, if you are on the fence about this TV, I like it and it is a good buy compared to a lot others.

Without a doubt, this was by far the worst and most disappointing product I've ever had the displeasure of wasting money on. It looks nice and shiny but
the quality of this product is subpar. Like glitter on a turd. The TV is hard to turn on and turn off, the inputs are difficult to reach, the monitor makes noises when it isn't supposed to and that's if you can get this thing to work at all. In effect, all this thing is good for is a paper weight. How did this product ever get to market is beyond me. I would not be surprised if this company went bankrupt. I can't find support services anywhere, and they have no website so I guess that means I'm right. I had to learn the hard way. Next time, I'll invest in a monitor/tv from brand that has been around for awhile instead of these cheap knockoffs.

Died after one year - ABSOLUTELY no luck getting hold of Astar service for any help... Very disappointed, because until it died I thought it was a nice unit. Would be willing to rate higher IF Astar provided any acceptable level of service.
