About the Author
Rene Goscinny was born in Paris in 1926, and spent most of his childhood in Argentina, before eventually moving to Paris in 1951. He died in 1977. Albert Uderzo was born in 1927 in a small village in Marne, France. He met Rene Goscinny in 1951 and on 29 October 1959 their most famous creation, Asterix, made his first appearance on page 20 of Pilote. One of the best in a fabulous series,

I read this title in both English and Spanish, and in both versious it was spectacular.
Asterix must compete in the Olympic Games against Romans and Greeks and is prohibited from using his precious Magic Potion! His chief Rival, Legionaire Gluteus Maximus and Centurion Asparagus Veriambitious provide amazing comic relief in a story that adults and children can truly enjoy. Any of the Asterix titles are great, I'd recomend all of thim, but this is a particular gem.

This is one of those books that will keep you laughing. In this book all the gauls decided to compete in the Olympics against the Romans. It's a book that will put a smile on your face on a gloomy day.
