long awaited birdbath,

This review is from: Astonica Bird & Twig Birdbath (Lawn & Patio)
I have so many birds that come into my back yard that I decided to buy a birdbath, the birdbath looked really nice in my back yard except now the basin is peeling and underneath is an ugly gray color I thought that it was an all weather type of birdbath , I mean arent the birds outside? So im stuck with either painting it or let it peel completely to that ugly concrete grey color underneath.Mari

This birdbath gave instant grace to my herb and flower garden. Visitors to my home never fail to comment on how lovely it looks. The birds attract to this birdbath more than my other birdbaths because they like to perch on the twig ornament in the center of the bowl. The outer rim of the bowl has cut-outs which make it easier for the bird to grip the edge of the bowl. Also, the bowl is nice and deep, allowing the bigger birds ample room to splash and play

I was generally pleased with the bird bath. It assembles easily, and seems like it will last for quite some time. The problem with the bird bath is the depth of the bowl. Smaller bird (sparrows, finches, etc.) will shy away from using the bird bath because the bowl is quite deep. Birds will avoid water they feel they might drown in. Larger birds were quite happy with the bird bath. Since we have mostly smaller songbirds in the area, I solved the problem by adding a few inches of WELL CLEANSED gravel to the bath to reduce the depth of the bowl. Now birds of all sizes are enjoying it.
