I was surprised at how much I liked these shimmering jewels. The colors have a way of standing out in the garden but in such a way as to blend well with my cottage garden. I especially liked that the tilt of the dragonflies can be adjusted in order to catch the sunlight from any direction. Besides being beautiful, they are of sturdy build and enduring quality. They look especially well with my Asonica Bird and Twig birdbath which also can be purchased...

These dragonflies look great in the garden. The intensity of the colors change in different light conditions. I especially like the fact that the dragonflies are different sizes. They are sturdy, too. They stayed put in the high winds during a recent thunderstorm.

I bought this as a gift and the quality of the product was great.

These dragonfly stakes add to the shimmer and shine of any garden. As you put them into the ground of your garden you will notice a great improvement to the appeal and arrangment of your garden. These not only have to be used in a garden but anywhere where you heart desires. The many different shapes, sizes, and colors add to form a contrasting element to the area where these are used. They are made of copper and stained-glass pieces. While you enjoy this new addition to your garden you will only hope one thing: that these beautiful specimens don't fly away.

These really are beautiful and well worth the money. The glass is thick, and the colors are beautifully translucent when the sun shines through them. They come in three different sizes, heights so that you can place them with different types of plants, with great effect. I am so pleased to see that Amazon.com now offers the butterfly stakes, I will definitely purchase those as well.

Just wanted to write a quick note...if you are looking for a wonderfully inexpensive gift for your favorite gardener...this is the gift to buy. It is GORGEOUS. My only problem is that I bought it as a gift...and now have decided to keep it for myself since they are so beautiful!

These really look great. My only complaint - where the stake attaches to the body of the bug. A bolt is welded to the body. Poorly. One was lose. One was broken 1/2 off. They still worked, but are loose. The connection is pretty flimsy - almost paper thin copper.

Followup: It's been several months and these things have held up really well - even survived the Chicago winter outside!

I hesitated ordering the Dragonflies, as I thought they were no more than a lawn decoration, similiar to a pink flamingo. I sent these as a gift and when I saw them, I was extremely impressed. They are beautiful, elegant and have a expensive and classy appearance. Don't hesitate to order these, I feel you will all be very pleased with this purchase !!!

I guess when pink lawn flamingoes became too tacky to have on your front lawn, they needed to invent something else. So now we have glass dragonflies. What will they think of next? I don't have any of these, but I've seen other people on our block put them on their flower planters. Maybe they sort of act like insect scarecrows and keep the aphids and other pests away? Anyway, they actually look better than you can see from the picture here, although I don't think they'll fool another dragonfly, but who cares what a dragonfly thinks? The important thing is that you can one-up your neighbor on the tacky/kitsch scale with a few of these.
