Ideal for decoratively lighting a walkway, garden, shrubbery, or patio, this outdoor lantern uses solar panels to charge its batteries during the daytime and a sensor to automatically turn on its bright, white LED light at dusk. The plastic lantern has a greenish- blue (verdigris) top and bottom. A day of normal sunlight on the solar panels in the top charges AA Ni-Cid batteries (which are included and installed) sufficiently for 8 to 10 hours of lighting. (The batteries can be replaced in the unlikely event they fail.)
The lantern arrives fully assembled, ready to be hung on either the verdigris wall mount or stake. Both are included, and both support the lantern with a shepherd's hook. The wall mount installs with four screws and anchors (also included). The stake is 35 inches high, but one or two of its four sections can be eliminated during assembly so the lantern hangs lower. Sturdy and weather-resistant, the lantern measures 6-3/4 inches in diameter at the top and 7 inches high and has a switch to deactivate the sensor so the light can be manually turned on or left off. --Fred Brack

This little light is absolutely adorable. It has a nice white light which is not extremely bright but is nice beside our front steps. Our solar lights are, unfortunately, located in our front yard which only gets morning sun and therefore they only stay lit for 2-3 hours. I would highly recommend that any solar light be purchased for an area that gets alot of afternoon sunlight if you want them to stay lit for anytime at all.
