Ideal for decoratively lighting a walkway, garden, shrubbery, or patio, this outdoor lantern uses solar panels to charge its batteries during the daytime and a sensor to automatically turn on its bright, white LED light at dusk. The lantern has an antique copper housing, with copper lattices forming a diamond pattern in its plastic side panels. A day of normal sunlight on the solar panels in the top charges AA Ni-Cid batteries (which are included and installed) sufficiently for 8 to 10 hours of lighting. (The batteries can be replaced in the unlikely event they fail.)
The lantern arrives fully assembled, ready to be hung on either the copper wall mount or stake. Both are included, and both support the lantern with a shepherd's hook. The wall mount installs with four screws and anchors (also included). The stake is 35 inches high, but one or two of its four sections can be eliminated during assembly so the lantern hangs lower. Sturdy and weather-resistant, the lantern measures 7-3/4 inches square and 8 inches high and has a switch to deactivate the sensor so the light can be manually turned on or left off. --Fred Brack

I purchased two of these lights to add to a landscape border and am very impressed with them. They are very easy to assemble & install. The light housing and copper finish has a nice quality feel and look to it. It has a two-pronged stake that seems very sturdy. It also comes with the alternative wall mount. The lights also only require an eight hour charge before using them, unlike most others i've bought that require a 3-4 day charge, you'll be able to use them the same day of installation. The nicest aspect of this light is that it stays on all night and casts a bright clear glow. I have found it to be a quality light and a good value for the price.

I've bought 4 and am buying 6 more. They send a shimmering glow of light across my pool and attract NO BUGS! There is also NO WIRING, just pleasure, and easy to set up.. I LOVE'UM!

This is the first light of this type I've ever purchased, so I don't really have anything to which to compare it. The light itself is very attractive, with the polished copper housing and the matching bracket. However, our lamp is very dim. It doesn't even cast any light on the car only a couple feet away from it. I am very disappointed with my purchase. Will be looking into how to return it for a refund.
