The best non-punk punk band this side of The Fall,

Ten times better than 90% of the supposed punk bands coming out of England in the late seventies, The Homosexuals still get overlooked nearly twenty years after their final gig...their uncompromising experimentation and attitude about (and against) commercialism may be what led to their downfall, but is also what helps make their music more interesting and lasting than overrated bands such as The Clash and the Pistols. The combination of flawless pop sensibilities with a need to keep trying things reminds one more of Pere Ubu or The Fall than these other bands. An excellent, comprehensive collection of songs.

This is one of the best bands ever, and this comp does them justice. If you have never heard and Homosexuals stuff before, just buy this, it's worth every penny.
