5.0 out of 5 stars This book makes so much sense that it changed my life.
Dr. Goldberg seems to have nailed it right on the button. If the content in this book is not true, then Dr. Goldberg deserves a medal for creativity. 2.0 out of 5 stars Interesting but...
Some interesting thoughts, but not at all like real astral travel, and don't get this if you expect to learn astral travel, or progress already existing projection talent. look into adventures beyond the body by william buhlman (spelling may be wrong) if you want to begin astral travel.

Dr. Goldberg seems to have nailed it right on the button. If the content in this book is not true, then Dr. Goldberg deserves a medal for creativity. This book (to the open minded inividual), indirectly answers almost every question ever asked by man. With reference to the upper and lower planes or dimensions he explanes what hell really is, where ghosts come from, where we are headed, and how close we come to this knowlege every night in our sleep. I follow the excersizes in the lucid dreaming section of this book and if this was a fraud, then my dreams would not become more vivid every night like they have. I don't mean to discredit myself and my opinion but an occasional drunken stooper and a couple hits from the .... used to be a great way to expand the mind or just have fun, but Dr. Goldbergs suggestions not to have any intoxicants in the body has helped me imensely. Not to sound repetative but it all makes sense. The answers are within us, we just need a little guidense sometimes on how to access them. People can do hundreds of different things to improve the quality of life on this planet, but nothing compares to complete knowlege and inner peace that can be obtained through complete submission and patience to the knowlege presented in this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Astral Voyages, May 18, 2002
This review is from: Astral Voyages: Mastering the Art of Soul Travel (Paperback)
Bruce Goldberg, D.D.S., M.S. is well-known in the metaphysical world. A hypnotherapist, he has authored numerous books, appeared on television programs, and been the subject of newscasts, radio broadcasts, and magazine articles. He has conducted more than 33,000 past life regressions and future life progressions.
Dr. Goldberg maintains "it is certain that we have a second body that can safely leave and return to our physical body." In Astral Voyages: Mastering the Art of Soul Travel, he explains how everyone can learn to leave their body behind and travel wherever they want to go. He emphasizes that the purpose of astral travel is to encourage the spiritual growth of the soul.
He explains how travelers can protect themselves with white light, and maintains that there is no danger in leaving the body. He also says that everyone has the ability to leave their bodies, that, in fact, we all do so when we dream at night. His intention is to help people develop their abilities so that they may travel at will.
Some techniques for astral travel work well for some people, while other people need different methods. Dr. Goldberg presents detailed instructions for a variety of ways on achieving out-of-body experiences, including using crystals, herbs, or oils, visualization, contemplation, and hypnosis. Readers are encouraged to experiment with them all, and then choose the technique that works best for them.
One chapter describes the types of beings astral travelers might meet in their voyages. While most people meet only loving masters and guides, Dr. Goldberg does provide instructions on how to recognize and protect oneself from a negative entity.
One section even explains how to have astral sex! (No, it isn't done quite the same way on astral planes as it's done on the physical plane.)
Dr. Goldberg says that "more people than ever possess the ability to soul travel and explore alternate and probable futures, move into new understandings and concepts of time, control the subconscious, and tap into the powers of their Higher Self." Astral Travel provides all the techniques and guidelines needed to achieve your own out-of-body experience.

1.0 out of 5 stars What do I do with this book?, May 17, 2006
This review is from: Astral Voyages: Mastering the Art of Soul Travel (Paperback)
I completely agree with the review that questioned Bruce Goldberg's knowledge of the subject matter. I purchased the book because the jacket suggested interesting subject matter. Trying to read through each chapter was agonizing. The author would do well to have a good editor organize the book, putting topics under a chapter heading appropriate to the content. Oh, I agree. The content seemed to have been made up. The book is riddled heavily with misinformation.
I have an advanced degree in psychology and have studied unconventional therapy methods. Woe to his clients! Mr. Goldberg tries to impress by sprinkling his book with references to psychological theory. His training as a dentist attests to his background in psychology.
The question of what to do with the book...I wouldn't give it to anyone, except as a joke. I certainly won't be referring to any information contained therein. Oh well, it's been a lesson in avoiding any works by this author in the future.

1.0 out of 5 stars Deceiving the Masses, February 8, 2006
This review is from: Astral Voyages: Mastering the Art of Soul Travel (Paperback)
This book is riddled with fallacies and very poorly organized. Although some of the ideas were interesting, it seemed like the author just made everything up! It's amazing that something like this actually got published.
I think this paragraph about the author's "trip" to one of the astral planes speaks for itself.
"Suddenly the figure of the evil Darth Vader came out of the woods... My astral sense of humor was in attendance, as I created a can of spinach, opened it with miniature lightning bolts, and consumed this can of power immediately.
Just like Popeye, my fists grew in size, and I punched Darth Vader right through his helmet..."
How stupid does the author really think we are? This obviously reflects his opinion of the readers of his book.
If you want to expand spiritually, I suggest reading something by Thich Nhat Hanh, or any author that knows what they're writing about.

5.0 out of 5 stars The only Astral Book you'll ever need!, March 11, 2007
This review is from: Astral Voyages: Mastering the Art of Soul Travel (Paperback)
This is the only book you'll ever need on Astral Travel. The book is not filled with misinformation - perhaps to those who have not tried it or who gave up to soon. I stumbled on this book by mistake - having been astral traveling for years - so I bought the book and the Darth Vador thing might seem like a joke to some people, but it is infact funny to those of us who do astral travel and have had like situations happen. For someone who has been astral traveling for years (without books or guidance) I found this book incredible useful as it taught me new things that worked when I tried them out. The book is organized wonderfully and though a few chapters were hard to get through (a few only) it was still worth reading them as the information is very informative and really helps you reach new levels in your astral voyoages. I give it five stars and I highly recommend it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent explanation of the architecture, November 30, 2004
This review is from: Astral Voyages: Mastering the Art of Soul Travel (Paperback)
Dr. Goldberg does an excellent job of putting all of the various components of the multidimensional universe together in one book.

His accounts and descriptions of how the Astral world is laid out so to speak is very consistent with many other well noted authors on the subject. When reading this book I felt like I was getting his perspective of the universe and not a copy of someone else's work. When dealing with this subject matter I think it is important that the author relate his experience in the matter and not that of the general consensus. Dr. Goldberg does this.

As Dr. Goldberg would say, "There are no absolute truths". However when you can verify an experiences out of the body thousands of times over, there is a pretty good chance it is accurate.

If there was no structure to the universe what would be the point of life?

2.0 out of 5 stars Complete guide or beginner but not easy to follow, September 12, 2004
This review is from: Astral Voyages: Mastering the Art of Soul Travel (Paperback)
This book mentioned so many techniques. For basic, you'll learn visualization technique, cooling down technique, additional visualization technique, the body of light an Tattwa Exercise. For advance, you'll learn Conscious Expansion Exercise, Conscious Expansion Visualization Technique. Advanced OBE hypnotic technique and The 37 degree technique. Having problem ? You'll find other exercise to handle that. Supeconscious mind tap script, integration, laser healing, future viewing, thought form removal, soul plane ascension, preventing paralysis, protection, higher self assistance, chakra aligning, balance your own energy, focusing, relaxation, yogic breathing, shifting focus and much more. Complete enpugh for you. My problem is this book wasn't easy to follow. And as a hypnotist expert, some of his techniques need a recorded script. Some people like this, but people doesn't. He also described about 13 planes in this universe, reincarnation and carmic cycle, higher self and example about astral travel in many religion.

1.0 out of 5 stars This book is decieving like Gary Zukov, November 27, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Astral Voyages: Mastering the Art of Soul Travel (Paperback)
This book is very sad since this strange little man doesn't know much astral travelling. He tells that the astral world is made up of your thoughts and fantasies and the higher realms are made up of humans elavated thoughts about heaven. Thus, implicated the thought in your head that your astral travels are ILLUSORY.In fact they are of seperate creation and is an insult to fearies/nature spirits/angels/God by saying they are not real. This book is bad. This goldberg man reduces the spiritual art to nothing but a form of childrens dream. This book won't help you to leave your body either,it has methods that he expects you to simply master. Also he does not tell how to find you guides or friends but tells you instead when you do find them.I would have refund this book if I didn't leave in my salon floor for a month.
