Astroglide has really made a name for itself since its introduction in 1991, and it is now one of the top-selling personal lubricants. Well, it's easy to see why! Astroglide is a water-based lubricant, which means that it is friendly to your body, your toys and your condoms, and it is easy to clean up.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not a pleasant experience
We received a sample of astroglide with a sex-toy purchase some time ago and loved it, so we were looking forward to getting a full size bottle. To be fair, the sample was not the gel, it was the liquid. This is the first (and will be only) time we've used a gel type lube, and it doesn't stay lubed very long. It dries up way too fast to be useful, because stopping...

Astroglide has really made a name for itself since its introduction in 1991, and it is now one of the top-selling personal lubricants. Well, it's easy to see why! Astroglide is a water-based lubricant, which means that it is friendly to your body, your toys and your condoms, and it is easy to clean up.

Also, some lubricants I have run across have a very odd or bitter taste, which can be distracting during one-on-one time, but Astroglide has a bittersweet taste that, while not great, is definitely not bad. So, if you want a great water-based lube, then join the throng, and get Astroglide! I highly recommend it!!

FYI: In general, there are three types of lubricants and each has its pros and cons. Water-based lubes are easy to cleanup and are unlikely to cause yeast infections, but on the down side they do need to be renewed every half hour or less due to drying. Oil-based lubes tend to have maximum slipperiness and last longest, but can lead to yeast infections and tend to break down latex condoms and toys quite quickly. Silicone-based lubes fall in between these two, being slicker and longer lasting than water-based lubes, but they do require longer clean up times, can stain sheets and clothing, and will eventually break down silicone toys.

5.0 out of 5 stars Astroglide, May 21, 2010

Great water based product. Super thick consistency that alows easy application without spilling all over Hell and beyond. I prefer it's Vaseline texture to that of the silicon (i.e. WD-40) type lubricants simply because it lasts longer and the clean up is a billion times easier...at least a billion.

4.0 out of 5 stars Right consistency, right price, February 5, 2012

Usually buy this stuff from a pharmacy or grocery store, but its a little embarrassing. Found it on Amazon at wholesale prices, and figured, hey, why not save myself the embarrassment and a few bucks? The stuff is great for vaginal sex. Can dry out fairly quickly when exposed to air, but as long as you spend most of your time inside of someone, it works well. I don't like KY, since I find it too tacky, and I don't like regular astroglide, since it is too runny. This stuff is Goldilocks just right. I've been using this product as my sex lube of choice for around two years now. 9/10, will keep buying.

Arrived discreet and a day earlier than Amazon's earliest estimate. I'm impressed with the amount of product for the price.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Good, November 11, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
The product is thick but not TOO thick (and mixing with a little water or natural 'stuff' tends to thin it out anyway). There's no need to apply a copious amount, as the slipperiness lasts quite a while. Just one tube has lasted me almost half a year now. Will buy again (if it ever runs out, that is).

5.0 out of 5 stars Best lubricant ever!, October 26, 2011
By far the best product on the market. Just don't use too much at once, it can become too slippery. And yes it even tastes ok!
