Local VW dealer wants $400 to do the rear brakes on a VW Jetta. Impossible to do without this tool, and it worked great. I will do all my brakes from this point on...this is something most people could learn to do themselves and save big $.

I used this for my 2007 Ford Mustang GT after the dealer recommended tool failed to do the job. This kit included the right fitting to go on the T handle, and it simultaneously rotates and compresses the caliper piston when you turn the handle. Note that I found I had to rotate the collar every few turns to keep it snug against the piston, because the piston compressed faster than the T handle advanced into the collar. Without a tool like this, the job would have been impossible, because Ford's design makes the pistons incredibly difficult to compress, and I couldn't apply enough pressure by hand with a ratchet to compress it while simultaneously rotating. Note that I found that even with this tool, I needed to use a pipe to give myself enough leverage to rotate the T-handle. (But this is Ford's fault. The tool worked as intended and it was cheap!)

This was the right tool for my rear brake job. I had tried it with a C-clamp with no results but within minutes I had the brake piston retracted. Don't try this job without this tool!

Used the tool on my 2001 Maxima. Tool worked great. Used to use a C-clamp, but rear calipers need to be turned when pushed in. Tool worked great. Also, just recently used the tool on my son's 2003 F150 truck. Tool pushed in calipers with ease. No longer have to fight the C-clamp. Worth the money.

Not that it is advertised as working on a 92-02 Dodge Viper but I was hoping it would. Pins are a little wide to line up. Seems well made for China manufacturing. Case is nice.

I have used similar sets on a rental basis, and decided to spring and buy one of my own. The kit appeared identical to the one that I had used in the past, but the main piston fitting did not properly seat on the end of the piston compressor rod.

A few minutes with a file remedied the situation, but it was a pain to have to modify the tool to get it to work as intended.

This well-designed tool set enables you to install new brake pads without having to employ expletives or perform a "blood sacrifice"! I just used it to install new pads on my '00 Land Rover Discovery II and it felt illegally easy, saving lots of time and frustration. Highly recommended!

Item works just as expected. No more using pliers or vice grips to do the job. Same goes for not needing two people (at times)!

I was able to install brake pads in about 10 minutes per wheel with this tool. Having this tool is far easier than using a C clamp and fighting to get the piston back in. Quality construction and a nice case to keep all the parts together. Highly recommended if you are a do it yourself type or a pro.

This caliper reset tool is great. I borrowed a MAC caliper reset tool that I was told cost $150 that didn't have as many pieces as this, wasn't magnetic and didn't include the necessary adapter that I needed.

For the price and quality, this is a great tool.
