Great for 3-8!,
This review is from: Astronauts Today (Pictureback) (Hardcover)
I have an almost 4yr old son with a fascination for anything having to do with Space Shuttles. He does enjoy looking at this book, especially when I'm sitting with him and answering all his questions. It has color pictures on every page having to do with the space program. There is a full page picture of a shuttle lift-off, pictures of astronauts on space walks repairing satellites, and astronauts living inside the shuttle. Overall it's the best book I've found (so far) with color photos for younger children having to do with the shuttles in space. There is enough information for it to be interesting for young readers and enough pictures for it to be of interest to pre-schoolers as well. The reading is about 2nd or 3rd grade level. The book's dimensions are approx. 10 x 10 inches.

Overall Great---At Least One Error Though,

This review is from: Astronauts Today (Pictureback(R)) (Paperback)
Overall, I imagine young children will be thrilled with this book. It does have one error in the paperback edition at least...it says American Ed White was the first man to walk in space. As we all know, the first man to walk in space was in fact the Soviet Union's Aleksei Leonov.
