This drive rocks, It arrived in a timely manner and I went to installing it, piece of cake. I booted my system and WOW this thing is quiet, I mean really quiet compared to my old drive which when it was spinning up sounded like the space shuttle taking off. (the old drive was ten years old so I should give it some credit) Then I decided to burn a copy of a program I have to use as a back up and it was amazing how fast the copy was completed. In general the CD drive is a great value and is one I would recommend to anyone that needs a CD ROM drive, I love it.[...]

I had to first master the drive jumpers, but the uptime to use was quick. Moved one jumper re-installed and was sending data in easily less then 30 minutes. Seems to be a nice little drive, so far so good!! a five!
