works right out of the box with no driver problem. Window 7 detected right away. When eject disc, the dvd drive automatically eject from the computer.

Operationally, this is a wonderful little drive. It works
totally perfectly for everything I do. My only gripe is the way the USB socket is arranged. It's on the bottom, with a cutout space for the USB cable to exit from a slot. Except the cutout is too small and the cable has to double back on itself to make it out the slot. This means the drive just sits on the cable because the slot is useless. This only matters if you want the drive to sit flat and level - which I do, as it's in a recording studio. Very minor issue... just poorly designed. The DO supply a USB cable... that's about 5 inches long! Yeah - that's really useful! But very good drive outside of the USB issue |
