5.0 out of 5 stars Great Motherboard
Everything went together and powered up the first time without a hitch. The diagnostic tool is very easy to use and the monitor watches CPU, memory and motherboard temp as well as fan(s) speed and isn't at all buggy like the Epoch board I was using. I've never tried overclocking but it looks like there's a lot that can be done with the BIOS in that regard. I'm really glad...

3.0 out of 5 stars Good mobo
This was part of my most recent build consisting of an X2 5600+, 2G of memory, 7600GT and 500G drive. Assembly was smooth and the instructions are clear and easy to follow. Plug and go basically. I had better luck with the drivers from Nvidia site. Asus's caused several errors that would cease the OS from loading.

I had better luck with the drivers from Nvidia site. Asus's caused several errors that would cease the OS from loading.

Hardware issues with mine:

Neither of the RJ-45 connectors were recognized by the mobo, it's probably some configuration deal but it wasn't easy for me to track down. I used a NIC card in a PCI slot to work-around this. Win XP Pro recognizes it fine.

SATA is not hot swapable. If I re-boot the drive will work but don't un-plug it hot, XP will have fits and hang. Treat it like a PATA and you'll be fine. Probably something in the N-Force chipset...drivers don't cure it. A bit frustrating. Since the swap drive is for back-up, it's easy to do a soft re-boot.

Aside from that, the mobo performance is good. If it were 100% I'd probably rave about it. With two non-critical issues...it is usable.

An excellent stable board used with an Athlon X2 4800 and 2 gigs of Crucial ram running Server 2003. Used a Antec Sonata 3 case and an
Asus GF7300GT (no fan) for the quietest computer I've ever built (100's).
It's so quiet, while the O/S was installing, I came back to check on
it and thought damn, what happened....lol...

I've only had one defective Asus motherboard in 100's which I equate
to proper installation procedure (finesse when required) and Asus's
overall quality...

Highly recommended for a stable build.

Great motherboard, solid product. I had to flash the BIOS in order for it to work though. Other than that, I have to say that it is a great bang for your buck motherboard. I'm running an AMD Athlon X2 5000, 1gb RAM, GeForce 7900 PCI-X.

Nice Mobo, gives high performance with ok price. No complains. I recommend to use a good P/S (thermaltake or something) to avoid problems.

If your looking for a good priced motherboard with stability and speed this one is hard to beat. There are newer boards out, but this chipset works well.

4.0 out of 5 stars Asus M2N-SLI Deluxe Green nVIDIA Socket Am.., July 17, 2008

The Asus M2N-SLI Deluxe Green nVIDIA Socket Am is an excellent motherboard board. The only downside of this motherboard is that it only has one primary IDE connection, so you have to share the primary IDE connector with the dvd-rom or cd-rom....etc I had to set my hard drive as the master drive and dvd-rom as a slave drive. It does have sata drive connectors for serial ATA hard drives and optical devices with SATA connectors which I currently do not use. Other than that it's an excellent motherboard for the price.

I had a m2n32- sli deluxe mobo. Bought it to make a gaming rig. Worked great until the procesor 4pin power got cooked. Bought the m2n sli to replace and has been working just as good and better then the original board.
