If you are looking for a fully-featured and reasonably-priced board for your mini-ITX build, this board should definitely be at the top of your list.

I plugged my radiator into the CPU header, radiator fan into Chassis 1, and chassis fan into Chassis 2.

Purchased this motherboard along with an Intel core i7-4790k CPU and a 180GB Intel 530 series M.2 SSD. This motherboard has really great features such as the M.2 slot on the underside of the motherboard, all 4 SATA ports being 6.0GB/s thanks to the Z97 chipset, being a nice compact motherboard jam packed with features and at a very reasonable price.

I found that ASUS has really good driver support for Windows 8.1 and I haven't had an issue with blue screens at all. My previous motherboard was a MSI FM2-A75IA-E53 paired with a AMD A10-6800k and had issues starting out with it, such as the drivers for Windows 8 not wanting to be installed on 8.1 because it thought it was a totally different operating system and they didn't have drivers ready at the time. The MSI board only had 2 fan headers (1 for CPU, 1 for Chassis) so I had to use a splitter cable to control 1 fans with PWM and the other being limped on the ability due to a 3 pin connector. The Z97I-PLUS has 3 fan headers (1 for CPU, 2 for Chassis) which is perfect because I use a Cooler Master Seidon 120XL too cool my CPU. It uses the fan header for the CPU to control and power the pump and the 2 chassis headers for the 2 fans I have installed on the front mounted radiator that are in a push/pull config. This means it is pushing air from the outside into the radiator and pulling air from inside the radiator, into the case to cool the inside,

When I first started my PC after installing all the parts it came to a BIOS screen wanting me to set settings because it noticed a new CPU had been installed. The BIOS on the board was factory at 0320 so I had to update it to 2103 which was a lot easier then I thought it was going to be.

This board was mounted in a Lian Li PC-TU100B aluminum case, along with an Intel Core i5-4690 CPU, Noctua NH-L9I low-profile cooler, EVGA GeForce GTX 750Ti SC Graphics Card, Samsung Electronics 840 Pro Series SSD, Crucial Ballistix Sport DDR3 memory and Silverstone ST45SF-G 450-Watt SFX full modular power supply. Overall, the board and system components have performed flawlessly, scoring a 7.6 on the Windows Experience Index.

The Z97I-PLUS has the latest features geared toward high-performance, including the following:
* LGA 1150 socket (support for Intel 4th gen, new 4th gen and 5th gen processors) / Intel Z97 Express Chipset
* 2 x DIMM (maximum 16 GB) / Dual-channel memory architecture
* 1 x PCI Express 3.0 x 16 slot
* Intel HD graphics support / Graphics ports: DisplayPort / HDMI / DVI-I / D-Sub (VGA) / Support for three displays simultaneously
* RAID 0, 1, 5, 10 and Intel Rapid Storage Technology 13 support / 4 x SATA 6.0 Gb/s ports / 1 x M.2 Socket 3 with M Key
* Intel 1218V Gigabit LAN
* WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac with dual frequency band 2.4/5.0 Ghz support / External WiFi antenna
* Bluetooth v4.0
* Realtek ALC892 7.1-channel high definition audio / Front panel audio connector / Rear panel optical S/PDIF port
* 6 x USB 3.0 ports (4 ports at rear panel + 2 ports mid-board) / 6 x USB 2.0 ports (4 ports at rear panel + 2 ports mid-board)
* 1 x 4-pin CPU fan connector / 2 x 4-pin chassis fan connectors / Support for both 3-pin (DC) and 4-pin (PWM) fan control modes
* 4 x SATA 6.0 Gb/s cables (2 cables straight connectors / 2 cables 90 degree connectors)
* 1 x WiFi antenna connector

Like other reviewers have mentioned, the WiFi antenna connector is somewhat difficult to install because of its small size.

Just put my first build together with this mobo and it's great. Everything is running fine and the bios is really easy and simple to use. I put this board in a bitfenix prodigy and layout of the board worked real nice with my case.

The only thing I wish that asus could of done is preinstall the connectors for the wifi because they are really hard to put on since they are so small.

Other than that, this is a great motherboard that I recommend for any mini-itx user.

Loved it. Purchased this mother board for my mini itx build after returned a defect gigabyte z97 board. The best feature on this board would be the LEDs which tell you whether each component is functioning correctly since most of these boards don't come with a speaker. The settings of the BIOS are user friendly and helpful. No cons yet.

Excellent MoBo, I buyed this for a Silverstone Tek Mini-ITX DTX Computer Case, and so far is working flawless with 2 SSD Sandisk Ultra II 240 Gb in Raid 0, Asus GTX 970, 2 x 8 Gb Kingston Hyper Fury X 1850, Core i7 4790 Cooler Master Gemin II and a Silverstone PSU SFX-450W.

I ordered this from Amazon.can, because it was actually closer to me, and the same price as here on the American Amazon.

Considering how many computers I have fixed for people in the past; this board was like looking at some reality that I have missed my whole life.

Simply put - the age of ugly, text based BIOS UIs is finally over!!!

Besides that, this board offers a lot of great features like Overclocking support (for CPU, GPU, and even RAM), advanced boot management, power management (fast charging), fan management (or cooling), and even built in surge and short out protection (not tested personally). It even has embedded Bluetooth 4.0 and external Wi-Fi antenna). This board does a lot more that its size suggests (USB 3.0, SATA III, Intel Rapid Storage), and I highly recommend it for your next ITX build!

Also, the Windows drivers work amazing on Windows 8/8.1!!! I strongly recommended that you install them to get the best experience possible from this motherboard. I am running a Intel Core i7 3.6 GHz processor on this board without any problems.

It also provides lots of audio options, and makes it great for a gaming, or media center computer!

EDIT (21/10/14):
Yesterday I made the mistake of plugging in a PS/2 keyboard and rebooting the computer twice. I think it is something wrong with Windows 8.1, but my Windows installation could not recognize any of my USB devices (even with the PS/2 keyboard uninstalled). The only fix I could find is to reinstall Windows 8. It is very tedious, but thankfully none of my hardware was damaged, and it was easy to reconfigure my software.
