Professor Anker's Law of Asylum has been an essential resource both in my practice and in my clinical teaching for more than ten years. Whether I am presenting an asylum case before the Immigration Court, the Board of Immigration Appeals, or the Federal Circuit Courts, I regularly turn to Professor Anker's book for of its clear, detailed, comprehensive, and thorough canvassing and critique of all the essential points of refugee protection law and related international human rights. The Law of Asylum is perfectly balanced to suit the needs of the practitioner and clinician as well as those of the researcher and law student.

This book amasses immense amounts of research on asylum law at all levels and is a great reference to have on hand. Law of Asylum is heavily footnoted, a comprehensive guide that would be helpful for law students and paralegals just beginning to learn immigration law, as well as scholars and seasoned practitioners. Highly recommended!

This is the most exhaustive and authoritative resource available on U.S. asylum law with appropriate references to international norms. It is a comprehensive but accessible source that no student, teacher or practitioner of asylum law should be without.
