This is a really, really pretty dress. I have it in the Turquoise color and I bought it for a cruise last month. When it first came in, I wasn't crazy about it to be perfectly honest. I've never, EVER had a dress you don't wear a bra with. That's just not done in my family. And, it wasn't the fabric I was expecting. It is a very soft, clingy nylon material. I'm not sure what I had in my head, but nylon wasn't it. It also ties around the neck, which is not obvious in the pictures. And let's be fair, I'm thirrrrrtyyyyy....something.....and I haven't bought a party dress since college, and back then, everything was taffeta. LOL.Anyway, I tried it on for family and close friends before I had the nerve to take it on the cruise, and everyone said it looked good. Even on the cruise, I got lots of compliments on it, but I wasn't sure until I got my pictures back. Now I'm thinking about ordering it in black and red too, cause now I'm convinced that a girl can never have too many party dresses; even a thirty-something girl!! |
