Excellent Album, June 10, 2005

The first couple listens and you may be thinking mostly about similarities to Wilco, the Jayhawks, and Cracker. But sooner or later you'll realize that Riviera has its own personality and a unique approach to its lyrics and music. One of the editorial reviews suggests headphones, and I agree. These tunes are more layered than they first appear, and the lyrics are intelligent and thought-provoking.
