More About the Author

Everyone longs for encouragement and reassurance that we are not alone when having to deal the big events in our lives and that the pain you have known and the conflict you have experienced can and will give you the strength to walk through life facing each new situation with courage and optimism.

Please know this is not a depressing, sad book. It's a very happy book of perserverence, strength and courage along with humor and laughs!

It is my mission to help others to know even though life can get scary and can so over-whelming, it's okay. I have been down that road hard and fast and I have so much to share as I hold your hand to let you know you are not alone at such a hard time and it's possible to overcome and come out even better for it!

Born in LaFollette, Tennessee and reared in Florida; almost to the age of 1/2 century.
I worked 20 years as a Paralegal Specialist at the State Attorney's Office, Ninth Circuit, Orlando, Florida. This position enabled me to write every hour of every day.
It all came to a screeching halt when I got hit with a stroke in the thalamus causing Central Pain Syndrome along with thyroid cancer and goiter associated with Grave's Disease.
My life changed so drastically that many people just could not fathom any of this was actually true. I set forth and wrote my book, At the End of the Day, to share with everyone the truth of it all.
This book is written in the form as if we are sitting in the same room chatting with each other; person to person with great transparency and openness.
My hopes are that everyone enjoys the read as they take the ride along with me.

At The End of the Day is an inspiring book about Lisa's life journey. I
found myself fighting back tears and reliving moments in my own life
which I can relate to that Lisa herself has lived. I think everyone has
faced some of the journeys and it helps to know we are not alone. Family
and friends are an important thin...g to have in life. At The End of the
Day helps you to see just that.

I couldn't put At the End of the Day aside until I'd read the last word. Sometimes I laughed and sometimes I cried. I admired Lisa's willingness to share her life story (to date) in detail and at an incredibly fast pace. It crossed my mind that she and her family certainly seemed to have endured far more than their share of heartache, troubles, and sicknesses. But God doesn't promise any of us that we won't have troubles and heartaches. He does promise us He will always be with us through them all, that He will never leave us, and that He will hear and answer our prayers. What comforting words! Lisa certainly is an amazingly strong person, and I admire that trait. As for me, I am only strong because my faith in God makes me strong. And when I finished At the End of the Day, I was left with an 'unfinished' feeling, so I gave God the glory for blessing Lisa with the strength to endure some terribly troublesome times. If I were Lisa, I know that I could not go on without Him. He is my Comforter, my greatest strength in times of troubles--my Savior, my Lord. Without Him, I would just be drifting!

I recommend this book to anyone who thinks he/she has it tough, that troubles seem to assail only him/her, who needs words of encouragement, or needs a lesson in will power and determination. Lisa Budzinski will bless their hearts with her story.

Lisa Davis Budzinski describes her life journey in the story, At the End of the Day. She writes as if she is sitting down having a "chat" with you. You will laugh with her and cry with her as she describes all she has had to endure. Through Lisa's accident prone beginnings, the many deaths she faced, and the enormous medical ailments she has had to deal with, Lisa's positive messages show through from the beginning to the end. Even with so much tragedy in one person's life, she shows us there is always hope.

Have you ever gone to lunch with a new friend, and while you're waiting for your meal to arrive you ask him/her, "So, what's your story?" This is the setting it felt like for me when I opened up Lisa Budzinski's book, At the End of the Day. Lisa shares her life's story in this book with complete openness and sincerity. Her humor and southern dialect bring freshness to what could have been a very depressing read. As you read her story, you will find that Lisa is no stranger to suffering. The many "happenings" she has had to face in her short lifetime are overwhelming, but with the love of family and friends by her side, she has persevered with a positive attitude.

At the End of the Day is a book that I believe many will identify with. Suffering is no stranger to most of us, but it is always comforting to know that we are not alone in our suffering. As a Christian, one of my favorite bible verses speaks on the power of this kind of comfort:

"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God." 2 Corinthians 1:3,4

From her writings, I cannot discern what faith Lisa has embraced, but I believe her story does have the capacity to offer some level of comfort to others. And, if not comfort, a good laugh and a good cry!

Lisa Davis Budzinski took a brave step to share her life story and lessons learned along the way in hopes of helping others with their life struggles. It is a quick read, too quick sometimes. The trouble and events come like a flood, which I imagine is how it felt to Lisa. She has come through her struggles with a good attitude, wisdom and perspective on the value of relationships. For me her story is missing the hope of a loving God and Savior, the only sure hope in life and for eternity. Some are able to determine to have a good attitude and persevere in their own strength. I cannot and don't encourage anyone else to either.
