5.0 out of 5 stars Unbelievable, April 18, 2003
This review is from: At the End (Audio CD)
I got goose bumps when I heard this. This is so freaking good I cannot stand it.
Well worth the cost and a great addition to anyones collection of dance tracks. I hope/pray/beg that they release an entire album. They are going to be huge.

First time I heard "At The End", it did not grab me. "Rapture" was the bar and I thought it just did not, could not measure up. Well I was very wrong. Something clicked the second time I heard it because now I can not get this song out of my head, and I don't want to. I want to play it loud and often.

"At The End" has the same style as "Rapture" with Nadia's distinctive vocals so sultry, so emotive, it's like she is singing directly to me. If you like "Rapture", you should like "At The End" just as much, if not more.

My favorite mix here is the Midnite Extended mix, but all the mixes work because the song is great, with the delivery and production even better. It has the same arresting quality as "Rapture", a quality that leaps from the speakers, slicing through the mundane and boring of which so much current trance is comprised. Layers of electronica laced with a wispy female vocal does not necessarily a good song make, and Iio has realized that. "At The End" is leagues ahead of the pack.

"Rapture" and "At The End" are not enough. When are we going to get an album or at least an EP from these guys. We're dying for some substance out here and Iio has it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome follow-up single ..., July 16, 2003
By
This review is from: At the End (Audio CD)
At the End is a terriffic follow-up single to this duo's 2001 dance-club hit "Rapture". I first heard this song (and Rapture) when last in Ibiza with my European relatives.

A must for any techno/trance fan. Pretty much all of the mixes on this CD Single are great to listen to ... especially when dancing or driving (among other activities).

5.0 out of 5 stars Iio is not without the I-I-O!, June 4, 2003

Iio wouldn't be without the I-I-O!

I have to say that Iio is the best club/dance/trance group ever. When I first heard their remix to "At The End", I was in a trance. The vocals are so powerful, and clear, but yet sounds like they had a vocoder thing going. Nadia did an excellent job with her voice. Her voice is natural, and they club background is perfect. The remixes on this album are outstanding. The Midnite Radio Edit (the very first remix I heard from "At The End") is an trance/clubby remix with excellent vocoders. It has an hard bass beat, and an very good intro and outro. When I first heard it, I thought it was the album version! Perfect for an trance session. 5/5. The Midnite Extended Mix of course is just an extended mix from the radio edit, but features for instrumental to the club scene. The vocals are arranged in a different sequence from the radio edit. This song makes you feel like you're at the club. 5/5. Made Edit is a fabulous remix which is an dark bass. It's more of a club vocadub. The vocals are repeated in a dub like manner with an deeper bass too it. It's more of an dub trance remix. 5/5. The Scumfrog Remix is almost the same as the Made Edit which is weird. When I heard it, the songs kinda sounds the same. Still a 5/5. Saeed & Palesh did an excellent job. Soon as the song starts, you are on the dance floor in a dark, neon trance room. The vocals are strong sounding deeper then the others. It's the longest remix on this album. 5/5. Last but not least, the Ultrasun Remix. This remix begins with an fast trance beat. Some parts of the song has an A Cappella to it. It has 2-4 main beats to it. It gives this remix an "Ultrasun" feeling to it like you are going to cross the border and it`s "At The End". 5/5.

Iio did an over excellent job. A rumor is going around that they are going to release a full album. I MAKE SURE I will get their LP album. Once you pop Iio in your CD Player, you will play it over and over, and over. They're remixes are not wacko like most artists. The remixes are sensible in a deep trance club versions. Iio makes sure they are at the top of the game, and they are!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars In The End, it's still the best, January 5, 2003
By
This review is from: At the End (Audio CD)
At The End is the much aniticpated followup to the worldwide dance smash Rapture. Ministry of Sound's most expensive signing doesn't disappoint at all.

Delivered with the same seductive vocals that's, At The End is a club-bound electronic song that simply picks up from where Rapture's left off. You'll like the Scrumfrog and Saeed & Palesh mixes found on this single. Absolutely stunning.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another Great HIT Single By the New york Dance Group IIO!!!..., January 2, 2003
By
This review is from: At the End (Audio CD)
first of all it was about time that I gave you a tast of this CD single and also gave you some info about it.
This Aussi 6-track single has a very good touch of dance music, from Trance to House. IIO have made another wonderful single that will not keep you down from anything. The ReMixes are fantasticly porven to go well on the dance floor. This single dose not replace IIO's first single Rapture.

1. Midnite Radio Edit 3:40 - Is totally good, and has so many vocals in this song its totaly amazing. This one is what you hear in the radio or on the internet.

2. Midnite Extended 6:26 - Is almost the same as the the radio edit, but this one has a thunderfull sound to it and very hight pogressive energy feel to it with amazing vocals

3. Made Edit 8:47 - God knows where this song got remixed I think it was the Made Records Company. This Remix sounds The same as the Scumfrog Remixe but with less vocals to this remix.

4. Scumfrog Remix 8:45 - Same as the Made Edit (track 3), This remix is the same sound and beat as the Made Edit but if you listen closly the Made Edit has more vocals to it then the scumfrog remix.

5. Saeed & Palash Remix 9:40 - This remix is fantastic, it has a Driven Drum Brazilian or Amazon Beat to it then changes to a electrice beat with alot of energy, U can hear Nadia Ali's Voice Echo all over the remix. people like to compare this remix with the Riva Remix from IIO's Single Rapture.

6. Ultrasun Remix 7:30 - This remix is totally heart poundering, it provides alot of up's & down's in one moment it has a high beat and the other moment it gose slow then hight again, with alot of electric high energy to it. that will keep you dancing.

just a little info on the Made Edit & Scumfrog Remix, At first I was a little pissed off becuz it was the same but until I found out that there were more vocals on one than the other, My belive is that Made Edit had already arange the song the way it sounds and scumfrog came and removed some voacls or scumfrog made the remix with few vocals and Made Edit just added more vocals.
WHO KNOWS?!?!?!?!?
News Flash there was said that there is one Remix runnign around in night clubs that belonged to the single At The End. The remix was a Johny Viciouse Remix.

Like I said this CD-Single is from Australia and can only be found on the web and Australia. I just hope that IIO has alot of luck with this single and make a huge impact. Just Remeber, No song from IIO can replace the fisrt single that made them huge RAPTURE (Tast So Sweet)
