5.0 out of 5 stars Last book of the 'Doing it .... better' miniseries
I thought this book had a great story + solid character development + amazing fun love sense; which equals a great sexy romance novel. Esmeralda is a psychic and when the signs tell her a man from her past will arrive she is blown away when it's Mitch Margolin. This book has some great plot twists that some you see coming and other are don't. Overall I enjoyed the ride -...

3.0 out of 5 stars Great characters, terrible in bed

The conflict and romance between Esmerelda, a palm reader turned nonprofit executive and Mitch, a no-nonsense lawyer with concerns about the legality of Esmerelda's foundation made for a great story. The conflict and romance between Esmerelda, a palm reader turned nonprofit executive and Mitch, a no-nonsense lawyer with concerns about the legality of Esmerelda's foundation made for a great story. I was pleasantly surprised by how well written this novel was. I loved the characters and it was great having a heroine with a positive, socially minded career. And the twists and turns of their relationship were believable, contemporary and engaging. So an A+ for storytelling. Unfortunately, believability and good writing were seriously missing from the many erotic scenes in this book. There was no build up of sexual tension between between the two and zero foreplay. A typical scene might be: Esmerelda and Mitch are talking about work in her office when suddenly and inexplicably they are overwhelmingly aroused. Bam, penetration...and they're done. whew. Very silly and definitely not sexy. After a few of these totally ridiculous and unsatisfying encounters, I started skimming the lovemaking scenes to get back to the main story. Not what I expect from a Blaze book.
