5.0 out of 5 stars Your Place or Mine, May 23, 2003
This review is from: At Home (Audio CD)
Janis Siegel is the soaring top of the magical harmonies of the Mahattan Transfer and in At Home we get her all to ourselves, alone. Turn the lights down low, kick off your shoes and put Janis on the turntable, (Okay CD player), and sit back and let the sound shine in. If Bob White doesn't put a smile on your face you need serious therapy. The range of this CD is simply amazing. Janis brings swing alive with Rhythm In My Nursery Rhymes then gets real low in Million Dollar Secret. You won't need Black Coffee to make it to the end of this recording but you may need a bottle to drown your sorrows in when it comes to its early end. Go ahead, risk your ear drums, buy it, put on your headphones and crank it. If the last sound you hear is Janis it will be worth the ride.

Man I have been searching for this CD for 3 years & it is DEFINITELY a collectible. Dig the saucy lyrics of Million Dollar Secret, the irrepressible fun in Rhythm in my Nursery Rhymes & the old classic Black Coffee. Janis sure can jazz 'n move a tune ... Sheer good fun & "Joie de Vivre" !

5.0 out of 5 stars Hypnotic, Enchanting, Fun, March 8, 2000

I fell for Janis years ago when I heard her sing "Shaker Song" with the Manhattan Transfer. This album does not disappoint. From the reflective "Small Day Tomorrow" to the jumping "Rhythm in my Nursery Rhymes", this disc is a keeper that will wind up in your player more times than not.

5.0 out of 5 stars Un disco fundamental en tu discoteca., January 26, 2002
This review is from: At Home (Audio CD)
